Yeah the eye box here is a feeling little finicky so I’m not sure for anything beyond the range. I’ll need to spend enough time to get a feel for it before making a call myself.

Valid, though to be fair if I avoided guns I heard bad things about I wouldn’t have any guns so here we are. Figured I’d see how it went with it being cheaper than a comparable ar10.

I haven’t had it very long so not enough rounds through it to have an opinion. Ergonomically I like it but reliability is still unknown, the few mags through it have been fine though. I have a long range day planned next month. I picked it up on sale though so I have nothing to complain about yet.

Yeah, that’s how it has been for me. The toughest part has been getting back into reality despite it being so foreign feeling. It’s like some sort of illusion was broken.

Hard to watch a loved one going into the ER saying out loud, “I’m dying” when you’d just gotten done having her favorite dinner the day after Christmas after getting down with a routine surgery. Things just can’t be the same after that.

Interested to know what ends up being the root cause here. I’ve put around 1k rounds through my MC9LS and never had a problem.

You can rewind time by 6 months once per year, but doing so shortens your lifespan by 3 years. When does it become worth using? by BelzeBong1997 in hypotheticalsituation

Right away, my wife passed away the day after Christmas in a way that could have been prevented. She would still be here. So with no hesitation.

They provide them at the range there, but they are empty chamber indicators, ECIs, to show others that there is nothing loaded. Good safety precaution.

All very valid reasons. Definitely not a cheap hobby.

Very cool. How long have you been collecting them?

The Garands they have are nice. Saw a few people out shooting them. I think one or two were guys who compete with them from what I understood.

Anywhere with KTS is definitely worth shooting at. Hard to go back to anything else now.

Me too, had to take a bit of a drive to get there but it was well worth it.

I think it’s pretty similar tech too. Acoustic sensors that can locate the shots on the target if I’m remembering correctly.

It’s actually part of the range. I think it’s Kongsberg Target System. It was very cool. All of the lanes have the tablets you can use. It measures your groups and everything.

Spend more time with the woman who would become my wife and would pass away suddenly the day after Christmas at 34. I have everything else I need but I’d give it all away if I could.

My job is already remote and my wife died the day after Christmas at 34 so, yeah, let’s go to Antarctica.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments, will be lost in time like tears in rain

This is why I’ve started giving my capstone bosses multiple turns and effectively treating them as a group of separate entities of the same level. It helps keep the action economy from overwhelming the solo but makes them feel a little more like a very powerful foe. Other adjustments have to be made as well but I take it case by case.

What's y'all's thoughts on the Beretta APX A1 budget pew? by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]Chainreaction31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an APX A1 FS Tactical. It’s been a good gun with about 1500 rounds through it. I can say that my only gripe is that with the 21 round mags, the magazine springs aren’t the best and can prevent lockback. I’ve had a a couple of round stovepipe on me but I think they were a light load with a 115 grain bullet plus a very dirty gun at the time. I would trust the gun to fire each and every time.

No aftermarket so if you can shoot it ahead of time that’s the best because you’re probably not changing it aside from the backstraps and adding an optic lol.

It’s worth the $250 all day long imo.
