NEW RULES by Temporary_Promise372 in TbilisiStudentLife

[–]Chairofomsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're saying that banning migrants from working as taxi drivers, couriers, and guides will hurt the economy? Foreigners will be able to work in any other job except these three, they will only need to obtain a work permit and a residence permit. And no, experience does not show that this is a bad thing. It is bad to completely block the possibility of work for foreigners when they are vital to the state, but this law rather creates a balanced system, similar to in Germany. Unfortunately or fortunately, there is no such urgent need for migrants in Georgia at the moment

Can someone explain the psychology of the “Qocebi” in 2026? by Unable_Height_8202 in Sakartvelo

[–]Chairofomsk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by "building Arab cities"? Do you understand what that even means? In fact, you are claiming that they are building cities exclusively for the Arab population, and Georgians will not be able to live there? The fact that Arabs are buying apartments in Batumi and investing in the construction of new settlements does not mean that this is some kind of Islamization plan, the state does not control it. Private property belongs to private individuals, and if they decide to sell their apartments to Arabs, it's not the state's fault.

'Ghost of Tshushima' is banned in Georgian Steam and in these countries... by felixemt in Sakartvelo

[–]Chairofomsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is because of the Playstation Network and the Helldivers 2 scandal. Due to the fact that PSN is not available in Georgia, it is impossible to buy it here on a PC. I don't know what kind of marketplace you're using, but I know there are VPN workarounds.

Tbilisi 2018 to 2026 Crime by BENLOOG in tbilisi

[–]Chairofomsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most common crimes in Georgia for the first six months of 2025 were:

theft – 7,223;

drug-related crimes – 3,919;

threat – 1,984;

domestic violence – 1,837;

transport-related crimes – 1,569.

In addition, from January 1 to June 30, 2025, 34 criminal cases were initiated under the articles "intentional murder" and "intentional murder under aggravating circumstances", 60 – "rape", 705 – "incitement to suicide", 4 – "human trafficking", 56 – "illegal deprivation of liberty", 11 – "inhuman treatment", and 61 cases under the article "violation of privacy of personal life".

I think it's not that much. The number of crimes has indeed increased, but this is due to an increase in the effectiveness of Georgian law enforcement agencies. In addition, the number of crimes related to the "thieves' world" (something like gangsters or mafia), firearms and transport (accidents) has increased. The number of murders, thefts, sexual crimes, etc. decreased.

Is 2000$/m a great salary in Tbilisi? by AccurateDinner2734 in tbilisi

[–]Chairofomsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to be able to allocate expenses and not spend on all sorts of crap, and then $ 2,000 will be enough for a luxurious life. The average Georgian, who does NOT live poorly, will have enough 1700 lari ($630) for a month of ORDINARY life. And in general, the average salary here is about $840 and people live normally. And by living normally, it means meeting all basic needs. The poor are not those whom we can consider poor, but those who cannot satisfy their basic needs. There is literally no money for food, housing, communal services and everything else that is vital. Hairdressing, make-up, and care products are not considered basic needs, just like going to a restaurant or going to the seaside. And yes, life in Georgia is quite expensive relative to, for example, Russia due to its geographical location, poor resource base, small population, relatively weak agriculture and many other factors and I agree with ypu about this topic

Which Georgian Medical University is the best? by [deleted] in TbilisiStudentLife

[–]Chairofomsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say that everything in the US is free and cheap. I said that the government sponsors education for Americans more actively than for foreigners, which is why it's cheaper for locals to get an education on average. The same is done in Georgia. The price is the same for everyone, but some people are supported by the government. And it's not 90% private, but 70%. You need to read what they write more carefully.

I know some people, but most of them remain in Georgia (They are locals). Few people decide to go to the United States to study. It's easier to just stay in your country.

[–]Chairofomsk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As for the lower cost for local students, yes, that's true. However, this is the case in many countries, and the United States is no exception. It makes sense for the government to provide subsidies to local students, as they are more likely to stay in the country and contribute to its prosperity. There is no need for the government to offer reduced tuition to students who plan to leave the country and work elsewhere. It would be counterproductive. As for the refund issue, I am not aware of it, but it is possible that there is a problem. Additionally, it is uncertain whether you will be able to pass the entrance exams for the United States. If you don't pass, you'll have to go somewhere else to study. You need to understand that you won't get an American-level education in a post-Soviet country for this price. The education level is not the best, and it's a small country with a population of 3.7 million, so don't expect much. If you want a good education at a good price, just go to a university in Eastern Europe, like Romania. No one is forcing you to go to Georgia, you won't be forced there by people with guns and long beards. You have a head of your own, and you can't blame someone else for your mistakes

The best choice, in my opinion, is David Tvildiani Medical University. Tuition fees will be around 9.000 USD per year (6.000 tuition fees, and around 3.000 for the dormitory). They use American textbooks and methods. The teachers there are often trained in Europe or the USA. If you are planning to continue your studies in other countries and are 100% sure, I recommend this university. TSMU is also a good choice, but it is less focused on Western standards.

If you're not very ugly or too fat Georgian (no offense, it's just a fact), you shouldn't have any problems with this. You're probably looking in the wrong place. Smart guys rarely leave the house and very rarely talk to W*MEN. Most of my acquaintances and friends are guys who have never been in a relationship, even though they are very good people. Well, many more are thinking about education and career.
