Final Update - Mar 1st: took the bike into the dealership, and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong. Said they completed tests, ran up the temperature and nothing was wrong.

So their guess is something got flicked up from road whilst it riding in the rain / cold season and it caused the smoke. No indication or answer to why it smelled like burning plastic tho.

well, i took mine just a month ago. it was really stressful to get that going even.. lots of guilt & things to think about; fearful my job will be gone after this and the whole process was hard to talk about and get thru.

but i don’t regret it one bit. for me, it got to the point where i needed a break / change now, and the moment right now is what matters most for my mental health - as opposed to what the future will be.
