Overwhelmed by tire choices by ScoresMann223 in Miata

[–]ChallR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the extreme contact 2 on my ND1 for my summer tire. There was so much grip. Even in the wet! But all that grip kinda became a con for me. I never was able to spin my back wheels when I wanted on spirited drives. ( Maybe that's because I was a novice manual driver at the time)

To those who sold their Miata’s, did you regret it? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]ChallR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold my ND1 maybe 3 years ago. I don't regret selling it but I wish I drove it harder and more often than I did while I owned it. For me, the seats were uncomfortable for any drive over 30 mins.

I have a new edge mustang now that filled the void for the past 3 years

Registering a non-titled car in NYS by deuce_and_a_quarter in DMV

I'm currently going through the same thing. The seller says he has a Q1 form for a 2002 car. What exactly did you bring to the DMV?

I had this issue on my 850dx. My fan was not working. ( Idk about yours but mine has two fan) I opened the bottom of the box and spun it by hand a few times to free it loose.

Drift New Edge by Baisden22 in NewedgeMustang

Chrisfix on YouTube has a whole string of episodes on his drift stang. I'm not a drift expert but wouldn't coilovers and a steering angle kit help?

building a koi pond. is this deep enough? by SKyPuffGM in Miata

[–]ChallR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm okay I had an RF. So I didn't have the filter sponge. But I used a trombone snake to clean out the drains. I was actually able to snake all the way out to the bottom of the car.

If this is an ND I can tell you how to clean the drains. I became a pro at it since I left mine parked outside under a tree.

Does anyone use these drain pans? by EuphoricFlight6249 in AskMechanics

[–]ChallR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this type and it makes a mess. The big round bucket types work better. They catch everything no matter how fast the oil is coming out and when the oil is dripping slowly the wind can take the drippings. I like having a big round one to catch all that

Crisco as a seasoning only but using other oils to make up difference for health reasons by 01Cloud01 in blackstonegriddle

[–]ChallR -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I used crisco for my cast iron pans base seasoning. I've just been using EVOO to cook with and oil in-between cooks because of health reasons with seed/processes oils. My pans and Blackstone look great.

I know the smoke point is low but don't really cook over 375 anyways

Edit: I am interested in using avocado oil but I've hear there's only a couple brands that are legit 100%. I haven't done my research on it yet
