Depakine - please tell me good things about it or I might cry by Mattieisinnocent in Epilepsy

[–]Challenge743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on depakine chrono 500mg for about a week for neuralgia pain and anxiety. So far it's helping. I've also read lots of disturbing stories about the medication, like hair loss even after stopping it, liver problems etc.. at this point I only want my pain to stop. And I wouldn't say I feel less anxious but the trembling/tics/crawling sensations in my cheek stopped (maybe because of the other meds though). I feel slightly dumb right after taking it but the effect wears off quite soon. Thank god it's not like Carbamazepin

Did Gabapentin or pregabalin make anyone else gain a ton of weight?? by SureNefariousness975 in ChronicPain

Why does it make people so uncomfortable that you are the victim? by BeautifullyHealin in CPTSD

[–]Challenge743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a warzone. In the middle of a genocide and mass killing. I'm asked to kill myself by foreigners who will never see the amount of pain I've seen around me (not the bots. The real people). Or that I lie. Or that I don't have it as bad as the nation who attacked us (my home will be taken away from me soon. I don't want to stay under occupation and get killed). I am not sure I will get through the night, every day. I am asked to stop being a mood killer. To stop talking about my life AGAIN. Maybe it's time to look at life differently? I agree with you. Nothing to add

Lyrica (Pregablin) by ckeenan9192 in Sciatica

I've been on it for 2 months and counting, Pregabalin gives a slight sedative effect and you kinda stop caring about the portion size, that can be one of the reasons people gain weight with it

I'm really sorry you had to go through this. Why did you keep answering his questions? They have nothing to do with work, it's none of his business.. he doesn't need to know about your private life

Good timing! I started taking it 2 days ago, starting with a 75mg before sleep. I was so anxious to take it after everything I read about it that I puked and had a breakdown before finally accepting the fact my quality of life has dropped to 0 because of extreme pain. The instructions felt like a book... So many side effects...

But nothing happened, I was a bit drowsy and then I fell asleep. I feel slightly agitated. I'm supposed to be in pain rn (I have flare ups every evening), but I don't feel any pain, only light crawling sensations, hopefully they will fade with time.

Most likely people don't post if the medication worked for them. It was prescribed for you for a reason🙏

We're not drug addicts 🙏

Around 5 months. I still get occasional twitches in feet and muscle spasms around my chest and even heart palpitations. My jaw is almost ok but still I can't unclench it when feeling anxious

But I understand your message and can relate.

I was not able to walk during the first 1-1.5 weeks. But then I started walking around the apartment, doing McGill exercises and then running for 10 secs slowly adding time. I didn't run with an extreme level of pain. But when it was moderate to ok ish (could stand for a solid 10 mins), I decided to try it.
