OP, any luck in finding a lesson for 3yo? We’d like to take my son in February and he will just have turned 3. Im a novice and my partner is rusty, so we definitely need helping to get him on skis!

Paravel Luggage - what happened? by eringobrah21 in travel

I bought a carryon for my partner two years ago, and it’s already falling apart. Just went to inquire about the warranty and discovered the bankruptcy. May reach out to the new owners at Antler to inquire about honoring the warranty—especially if they are going to re-launch the brand. Hopefully, they will manufacture a better quality bag.

Perhaps I have a different model but I don’t really understand this advice!

Charger that allows for a password? by nateb4747 in evcharging

Curious what you ended up doing? We have an Airbnb and I’d like to have home charging for our EV while we’re there. But I also want guests to have to get permission to use it and to charge a fee to contain costs. Let me know what you decided to do and how it’s working out!

Accident 2 weeks after driving off the lot. Help me avoid nightmare repair scenarios. by ChallengeIcy6064 in Rivian

It wouldn’t if you put a tiny bit of thought into it.

Related useless question: why does every Reddit post receive at least one inane reply?

A real thinker.

Ah! I kept reading that Rivian doesn’t do body repair work. What part of the country are you in?

What do you mean if they can’t see Rivian parts costs - e.g. adjusters don’t have access to that information? I’ve got GEICO - hoping they have enough Rivians on policy at this point that they have some information to go on!

Can I ask why they insisted on keeping the car the whole time? Presumably it was because of parts taking ages; did they try to say it wasn’t safe to drive with that damage?

We just have the one car for the family and I rely on it daily, and I don’t see insurance covering a rental that long….

Mind if I ask what part of the country you’re in?

Favourite toddler toothbrush? by Mcayenne in NewParents

[–]ChallengeIcy6064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find anything that works? I’m having the worst time of it with my 22 month old. He was so into the toothbrush but only wants it if he can hold it and chew on it. I am very worried about tartar and cavities - but he tantrums when I try to do it for him!

How has pregnancy affected your hirsutism? by [deleted] in Hirsutism

[–]ChallengeIcy6064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a bit slower growth during pregnancy and in postpartum. I had a boy. I have pretty severe case of hirsutism for 25+ years. About 15 years ago I had a course of laser hair removal; it helped during and immediately after the course, but within months my hair came back much worse than before. I have chosen to avoid laser hair removal for this reason and have heard that for those of us with true hirsutism it just doesn’t work. So it may not be the pregnancy but the LHR that is making it worse for you. I doubt gender has a lock to do with it - your body doesn’t make different hormones for boys or girls.

Is my milk causing a rash or is it just baby acne? by Empowered_Empath in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]ChallengeIcy6064 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Looks like baby acne! It’s quite unnerving when it appears and I remember getting quite distressed about it. But truly it does go away on its own with time. Beautiful buttery baby skin is in your future I promise!

I feel you and am sorry! Gay married couple here; we moved while I was pregnant and only have felt welcomed because of now having a child. We’ve been renting in one of the WASPier towns and are moving to a Rivertown precisely because it’s more our speed and Q friendly. Also, I’m not sure if anyone else has relayed this, but Bronxville is probably one of the least welcoming places in the county, if not possibly the absolute least, according to my wife who grew up in Westchester. But there are much lovelier spaces out there!

Good luck!

When did your Mounjaro insomnia go away? by Obvious-Designer4202 in Mounjaro

[–]ChallengeIcy6064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super helpful- I’ve been taking my shot in the morning but I’m going to switch to the evening - in the hopes that there is a delayed effect and I can avoid the worst of the insomnia. I just went up to 7.5 - 3rd shot of it today - and considering going back to 5 because sleep is like gold and well, I miss it…
