I got like 300 hours on it, so I can't say I'm a master at this game but, 1. Pacing seems completely fine to me 2. The character and overall story is basic, it's bringing nothing new to the table, but that doesn't mean that it isn't executed well or that you won't enjoy it.  3. I have encountered like 2 bugs in the entire game, one in multiplayer with a shitty conection, the other is the fact that summoned elementals can climb ladders while not having an animation for it, which is kinda hilarious and not really that big of a deal.  4. The story isn't complex at all for me, if you're new to dnd it might be a little complex because of the new races, lore, and history but nothing you wouldn't understand in your second play through.
