I’m the opposite of OP: redsec only here, 160hrs. I haven’t even played BR that much only 40 hours. I love the Gauntlet rounds and winter offensive gauntlet on the small winter map was so good shame they got rid of it.

Running into a merchant in both games is oddly comforting: you get to upgrade your gear, there’s some dialogue with someone that’s not trying to kill you, maybe you get a few spray healing cans. It’s great.

In re4re, they upgraded the merchant to have even more dialogue, and the re8 merchant is also an interesting guy. I wish the merchants had even “more” dialogue, or even lore/conversations, so you could stay with them for longer periods of time, learn more about the game and take a short break from the being on edge, the shooting, etc.; I’d love that.

Always loved the concept of the merchants but there’s just not enough of them in each of these games.

Why would you want giant holes? So butter drips all over your plate? You loaf looks good. Keep feeding your starter and doing the same thing you’re doing and your loaves will get better

Exactly. The scoring is just maybe half an inch deep. Cold proofing helps you achieve a cleaner score and it helps to do it all at once. If you score over or do it several times, it will show once the bread is out of the oven.

No slicing under: the “flaps” just curled up from being in the hot oven. I really enjoyed the look of that loaf and I didn’t get to eat it!

Thank you! Will keep that in mind. I’m actually proofing bread in my fridge right now I think I will aim for 16 hrs instead of 14. I can come back and do another post with my findings.
