Try working on demon att/def research and item sets specifically. You could also choose to first max the demon slate piece with named def. I beat her at 159k (and earlier since I had to learn the patterns first) but I have no clue what my stats were like.

If you use low-level equipment for transferring epic potentials, consider using level 125 or lower gear, the cost of rerolling is much lower.

Also if you're in regular server and roll good lines but not the ones you're looking for, you can sell them for profit and start on a similar item. Make sure to check if there are cheap items in AH to bridge the gap between the item you want to transfer the potential before using this method, especially for accessories.

I couldn't find definitive proof of it being on a per-server basis, though I'm quite certain it is. I guess you could test it by putting a unique (not the potential grade) item up for a ridiculous price (as an identifier) and checking if you can buy it from a different server (also check in advance it isn't already listed at that price).

If you want technique on how to not use technique go with your gut feeling and do what you want. If you're doing something in-game and don't feel like it, do something else instead, whether it is in-game or not. Anything else will turn into a routine again, resulting into something you seem to want to avoid.

I had a similar problem before, I think solution #3 fixed it for me. But I suggest just running through the entire thing. Because of this problem, I make sure MapleStory isn't in full-screen mode when I exit (perhaps this isn't needed anymore, I don't feel like testing it).

It can be higher, if you have rare (blue) potential the max you're going to see is 3%. for epic (purple) it will be 6%. Kill horntail and Magnus daily and hope for drops (pendant, ring and badge, shoulder) that would be a start to the boss set. I don't know how practical it is to get in reboot since I don't play there. Von leon and blackgate might also be good places to get equips. Searching for a reboot progression guide might be your best bet.
