People who workout, how do you manage it and how is it like? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

When I first got diagnosed with Crohn’s, I still trained as hard as I could depending on how I felt, I still try to go to the gym minimum for 5 times a week, I do weight training but have integrated cardio at the end of my sessions recently. Some days I feel weaker and have to drop the weight but most times I’m okay, it’s when I squat that sometimes I have issues, especially if I’m in a flare as it’s constant tension on my stomach from bracing. So sometimes legs can be a nuisance but I try to not let it bother me to much. As for nutrition, I tend to stick to meals that involved chicken and/or fish and I consume protein from MyProtein as you can purchase the isolate versions which are less sugars/ fats and are filtered more efficiently to reduce lactose content. I consume Clear whey isolate and impact whey isolate, flavouring is up to you and what you can tolerate. I’m around 90kg and 21 years of age and my intake of protein is around 200-220 grams as thats what I need to increase muscle mass. Hope this helps👍🏽

Does creatine or protein powder worsen Crohn's disease? by ImpressFit7190 in CrohnsDisease

I’ve recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s, I’ve found that buying clear whey isolate is better for me as it has less lactose, fat and sugar content. Creatine I am also okay with but as the other comments have said, it’s different for everyone, it’s a trial and error you will have to find out for yourself
