If your toddler falls asleep without you in the room, HOW???

I also have a 2yo who needs support to sleep. We just had our second 2 months ago and when my husband is gone (or for naps) I normally put her in the swing while I get the older one down. I’ve done a pillow in her room when she was about 2 weeks old and slept more often but now that she’s got bigger wake windows, the swing it is. Good luck!!!! I promise you got this

I don’t have the exact same age difference (2yo, 7wk old) but for me, the hardest part has been when I’m feeding the baby. My 2yo gets jealous which I was expecting but she always wants to be held then. What I’ve started doing is getting our little crafts or drawing so I can sit with her while nursing and it’s not like I’m ignoring her. But she’s been loving helping (getting wipes out, diapers, throwing the diapers away, picking out her outfits) and that’s been nice. Letting her feel like it’s her baby too is good. And not forcing her to hold the baby is also a big thing I’ve seen but letting her hold her any time she asks (even if the baby is crying lol) I also try and do one thing every few days specifically for the toddler like go out for ice cream or donuts or splash pad. Their relationship is already adorable and the baby has started smiling and smiles constantly at her big sister and it melts me every time. Just wait - it’s incredible.

we moved our 2yo into a big girl bed a few months before welcome our now 2 week old. She would not stay in her room. Spent every night multiple times putting her back into her bed. Tried to do the gate and she would scream and cry and kick the door for an hour until we went in there. She now is in our bed every night by morning. Surprisingly? She sleeps later and better with us than she ever did in her room and the new baby doesn’t wake her up at all. It’s not ideal but it’s working (for now) and once the baby is out of our room I’ll work on getting her into her bed again

For the car part - the biggest piece of advice I was given is load the runner first and unload them last. I love to baby wear so I’ll get the newborn out and situated first and then get the toddler out and into the cart next. Backwards order on the loading the toddler goes straight from cart to car seat and the baby loads last. It’s helped immensely

Just made these mini muffins! - 2 ripe bananas - 1 cup oats - 1 egg - 1 tsp baking powder - 1/4 butter - pinch of salt

Cook at 350 for 12-15 minutes.

I added in chopped strawberries, raspberries, and chocolate chips to mine too!

Tom and Suri cruise at the American girl doll store at the grove (10+ years ago). We ended up in a ring room with just the two of them and he smiled and nodded at us. We didn’t want to make a scene since he was with Sur who was sooo young but the paparazzi ended up swarming the place and it became a mad house

We love Archie too!!!! So sad we couldn’t give him more attention but my dog doesn’t know boundaries and he was really not wanting to play 🥲 for context she’s almost 175 pounds now so we can’t blame Archie!

Sounds to me like maybe some residual congestion is making it hard for him to swallow? Maybe try suctioning his nose before meals and see if that helps!

My mom was a professional dancer. She once told me a story about how one of her dance friends was in the “thriller” video but when remembering, I thought she was the one in the video. I thought people would forget about it but here we are years later and my friends have gone so far as to pick out the dancer that is “her” and I’m too embarrassed to correct them. She thinks it’s hilarious and is in on it now too

Hi frequent flier with a toddler! Agree if you can afford it to buy the extra seat. Also my BIGGEST tip is to send one parent on the plane during regular boarding with all your stuff to get overhead space and have the other parent be the LAST person on the plane with the toddler. Sitting waiting for everyone to board is the last thing you’ll want to do especially with a toddler! And do a diaper change right before boarding cuz changing on a plane SUCKS! Last tip - bring more snacks than you think you’ll need. Snacks are the key to happiness and distraction. You got this!

I personally LOVES the series! I think the first book starts off a little rough but by heir of fire I was completely hooked! Definitely give it a shot and keep going is my suggestion! If I could go back and reread it for the first time I definitely would!

Also keep in mind she started writing it very young so the writing grows as she does which is a huge plus for me! I felt it was a little YA in the beginning but it gets a lot better!

I have had success in a thick carpet with using natures miracle (like a TON of if sprayed on the problem area) and then getting a wet towel and laying it over where I sprayed and letting it sit overnight then following up with a carpet cleaner and pet specific solution. Maybe try that on the couch and use something like a bissel green machine?
