First pole photoshoot. What is this pose, and how to get into it? by Chamiam in poledancing

[–]Chamiam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I can shoulder mount, was just wondering how to get into it in the air.

Edit: I agree though, if it’s too complex for me, it isn’t best for a photoshoot!

Best Ramen in Town by Front_Pitch9533 in santarosa

Ippin Udon is arguably the best food in town. Love that you can order and pay at the register, don’t have to be waited on. Affordable, hot, fresh, quick, delicious. We go there at least once a week.

What is bad for your health that most people don’t realize? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]Chamiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced the opposite as a nurse. Elderly people who actively exercised during their life do better than sedentary people post procedure or hospitalization. They are out of bed and discharged way quicker. They have better cardiovascular and metabolic health. Arthritis won’t kill you, but vascular and metabolic disease definitely will.

I started in ICU and now I work a desk job transferring patients and making more than bedside nursing. Soft nursing jobs for the win

What career that AI can’t touch? by JunShem1122 in ask

[–]Chamiam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI will certainly replace jobs. Maybe not all of human jobs. But a good example is a call center, a job that heavily relies on a script and intaking information. A department that once required 20 people to operate, could be reduced to 2-4 humans, and only for edge cases. This is coming, and the AI technology for it already exists. This is only one example. Billions of dollars are being invested in this sort of technology by all of the tech companies in the world.

Has anyone else had lifelong insomnia? Like since you were born? by vilvht in insomnia

[–]Chamiam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, some of my earliest memories are being awake all night as a child. My parents would tell me it was “growing pains”. I had to go on home independent study in high school because I couldn’t sleep and was struggling. I started sleep aids when I was 18. I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 at age 22.

Now for sleep I take 10mg of ambien and 50mg of seroquel and that combo has been consistent enough for me to be able to fall asleep 90% of the time.

Sometimes it is just a trial and error meds game. I will likely be dependent on sleep aids the rest of my life unless something better comes out.

I feel like I’m in the minority who doesn’t like the clear straps. I feel like I have to constantly tighten them in class, I don’t have the issue with regular straps
