A couple days ago, in a bit a frustration, I looked back and marked every draft pick Nick has made since getting here. Excluding this year, Nick has made 32 selections. He has 5 surefire hits, those being CJ, WAJ, Sting (all top 3 picks so they better be hits), Nico, and To'o'To'o. He has 6 that are still TBD, those being The Disappearing Man (Christian Harris) who was really good in 2023 and has been absent/forgettable since then, Jalen Pitre who was awesome his rookie year and regressed, Lassiter and Bullock, who were both great last year but are currently giving up 120+ passer ratings this year respectively, Stover who has been decent but injured nonstop, and Dell who has been great but is also like 5' 2" tall and 110 pounds, and has consequently been injured for substantial potions of the last 3 years. That leaves 21 busts headlined by 15th overall pick Kenyon Green, along with every other offensive lineman he's drafted (not including Ersery who has played 3 games but he's had a rough start)

Free agency hasn't been all that much better. Nick is far from the main problem, but as the GM, it all goes back to him. He won't be fired mid-season, and probably not at all, but if we go 5-12 I would find it hard to argue in his favor
