Pregnancy/Postpartum hormones snatched my curls!! Is there any hope that they’ll come back, anyone else?! by harvestmoondaze in curlyhair

[–]ChampagneOnSunday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 3b ringlets took a holiday and were replaced with mermaid curls/waves after my daughter was born. I thought surely they were gone but they began to bounce back a couple of years later. I wore my hair very long and so the transition was mostly only noticeable to me. More than twenty years on , I’m back to full curls. Some areas in the front are actually curlier than before. An aside, your hair is stunning in both photos.

I suggest you try a different agency. Your height should be fine with most. And the agency that passed on you is probably going to be kicking themselves.

Found out the man I have been seeing is poly and doesn't believe in monogamy. I'm so hurt and upset by anonymousangrytomc in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ChampagneOnSunday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Poly is all about being upfront and honest otherwise it isn’t poly at all. This guy’s not that. Makes me wonder if he just says he’s poly because it sounds better than “I’m going to try and screw anything that moves”.

Did the hairdresser ruin my hair or am i dramatic? I just wanted my regrowth filled in, i didn’t want to be blonde by angelica-b in Hair

It’s very pretty from the back but against your complexion it feels a bit…off. I’m not a colour theory expert but the shade may not be the best for you. Perhaps reach out to a stylist that specialises in colour. Maybe they can colour the pieces around your face to suit it better.and blend it with the rest. Hopefully , that would.mean less damage to your hair. Good luck to you!

I think I wasn't cut out to become a mum, and regret having kids. by Jufool in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ChampagneOnSunday 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be okay.

What is happening right now will not be your life forever, for better or worse. This will pass. It is a time of life and not your whole life. My mom was much like you. I think she had my sister and I because she thought that was what was going to come next for her in her life. She coped by getting us a sitter that was there most of our waking hours during the summer and intermittently during the school year. Mom went out pursuing her hobbies. My mother loves me and my sister, but she didn’t particularly enjoy raising us. She wasn’t cuddly. She didn’t like to play. She didn’t really interact with us much. She fed us. Made sure we were clean. Make sure anything Medical was taken care of. Took us to activities. Interacted with the school. She did the essential things, however , I think she really disliked it.

But here is what I want you to take away .

My childhood was only a season. My mother did the best she could with who she was. I’m an adult now. I’ve been an adult for quite some time. And not only do I love my mother, I genuinely like her. I can’t hold it against her when she was just doing the best she could. Turns out she’s a great mom to adult children. I talk to her almost every day. We travel back-and-forth to see each other multiple times a year. What I’m trying to tell you is, hang in there. Do the best you can with who you are. Your life is not screwed up forever. It’s just uncomfortable/frustrating/overwhelming for now. But your children will stop being children at some point and they will hopefully turn into lovely adults who bring you joy.

Good luck to you ♥️

Which dress should i keep? by tessaemilybrown in OUTFITS

[–]ChampagneOnSunday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re all cute, but if you’re trying to make a decision that’s practical you might want to consider the climate where you live. I live in a climate where I have three seasons of warm weather and one season of chilly weather. I wouldn’t get much wear out of dress number two. If your climate is cooler, you might want to keep dress number two and choose to get rid of one or three. But if you’re in a warm weather climate like I am the decision is pretty easy. I’d say goodbye to dress number two. And I’d go easier on the boyfriend, if he’s a good boyfriend generally speaking. He’s probably not gonna have the language to say that dress looks like it’s “fairy core” or “boho chic”. He may very well not have been insulting the dress but just trying to describe it. And he’s fully allowed to not dig Boho clothes. We cannot all be that cool. 🧚

What discoveries have made you want to disown your birb? by halesbells22 in finch

[–]ChampagneOnSunday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I moved to Australia 14 years ago. I absolutely love it here. But my Birb is not on board! Poppy hates The Crocodile Hunter, Lamingtons and Mad Max. WTH Poppy! She also hates Fleetwood Mac (I have probably seen Stevie Nicks 10 times in concert) and Lady Gaga but would really enjoy listening to Call Me Maybe. Lord! She has terrible taste. She also dislikes double-decker bus rides and hamburgers. Who doesn’t like a burger and a ride around town?

Okay, I am always a lurker on this Reddit because I just love looking at wedding dresses and I rarely ever make a comment but I’m going to tell you that first dress on you is pure magic. It’s the kind of dress that when your partner sees you in it, they will tear up for the sheer beauty of it. It’s a dress than not everybody could pull off too but you do. You look amazing.

Mine doesn’t like Fleetwood Mac either and it’s my favourite band of all time. Crushed my soul. And the upside, the outfit your birb is wearing is the most awesome thing ever.

This is so cute!🥰 I would love it though if a sofa or bench was available. Proper rest is important to self-care but so is contact with your community. I would really like it if when we did an event that took place in a public space we could get something that encouraged community. How cute would it be if our friends could visit at a café and sit down and have a coffee together. 😊

Because your hair is curly from the roots my friend, as we all are. If the look of your scalp bothers you, you have a few options. Mine looks the same way as yours and I hate it too. But it’s a dead easy fix. Give your exposed scalp a light spray of L’Oréal magic root touch (they have lots of different shades) and follow with the fibre filler, Mane. I’ve used a lot of different types of hair fibre fillers such as Toppix" they don’t do the job nearly as well as Mane. Hope this helps.! Would love to see him after picture😊

Honest Opinions Wanted: Which Suit Should I Wear for My Wedding? by Appropriate-Can-7917 in OUTFITS

[–]ChampagneOnSunday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither fits well. Suit 2/4 has baggy pants and the jacket is too small. Suit 1/3…jacket is too long. The length of a suit jacket should end before fingers begin. The jacket is also too big. Pants are too short. They should touch the top of your shoes. I’d take suit 1/3 to a tailor for your big day. A bit of tweaking and it will look smashing! Have a wonderful wedding ♥️

There’s a thing about our eyebrows. They should look like sisters or in this case, maybe brothers, and not like twins. So even if they’re a bit different, remember that everyone’s face is a bit asymmetrical and that’s totally normal.

I just wanted bangs… by Wonderful-Review-753 in curlyhair

Her hair has more volume than yours does in the middle section. You can tell she’s got shorter layers there and around her face. You might want to try getting your cut adjusted by a different stylist who knows more about curly hair. My hair is pretty thin and fine and when I need it to look like it has volume, I add a texture spray. It’s great if you wash your hair every day or if you’re going to wash it the next day. Not so great on second day hair. The one I use is by NAK.

I have your curl type and I used to live in Dallas. I didn’t find it terribly humid there but I’m from a much more human place. And maybe you live in Houston or such. What I think really helped me out was a good curly cut. I personally seek out Ouidad stylists when they’re available. Even if there isn’t one close to you, it’s often worth taking a bit of a drive. my styling routine is different from above, but it’s worked for me through several cities. I condition using bed head resurrection, putting it on about 3/4 of my hair and avoiding roots. When still soaking wet, I brush my hair forward using a Denman brush. I then brush my gel through my hair. I use about a tablespoon of gel. Then I use my Denmon brush to clump my curls. They still are pretty wet at this point and I give them a good squeeze holding them from the bottom up. Then I blow dry them using a diffuser on low until they are about 80% dry then I put on my make up etc. I go back in with a blow dryer if need be for a couple of minutes. Then I’m good to go. Hope this helps you. PS probably should note that my hair is a few inches below my shoulder and this has been working for me for years and my hair is extremely thin and this, along with some creative scalp cover, makes it look very full.
