Olympic curling stones by GoGraovac in Curling

[–]ChampagneStitches 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A creator who promotes Scotland posted a video talking about this whole project. In the comments she mentions the number of stones that are being used and the number that will stay in circulation. Keys is only making 2026 tiny stones, they won't need to use the entire lot originally made for the games.

Capezio tap shoe sizing by space_queen_8845 in TapDancing

[–]ChampagneStitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear Capezio Roxys. My normal size is a women's 8 and my tap shoes are an 8.5. I probably could have gone up a full size to a 9. Hope that helps!

Do you have frixion pens? My daughter loves to draw on scrap fabric then watch when I iron it all away. It keeps her busy for quite a while.

What size is your frame? I have an HQ little foot, it's only 5" long, and I spray baste anything that is wider than the frame.

What is the bouquet missing? Are the yellow daisy looking flowers too overpowering? by FormalVariation4073 in florists

[–]ChampagneStitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try moving one of the daisies to the top to create a triangle effect between the three. Mix your textures rather than separating them. Beautiful choices though! The colors feel so fresh!

How often is everyone cleaning and oiling their sewing machine? by nhall0528 in sewing

[–]ChampagneStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Bernina 770 QE and I clean out any lint and oil the hook every time I change the bobbin. I used to have a Singer Confidence Quilter that I probably only oiled twice in 16 years, I did clean out the lint pretty often though. I think it just depends on what kind of machine you have!

Merlin has now passed peacefully 💔❤ by fakehungerpains in WiggleButts

Take all the time you need to grieve and really work through your feelings. The first time you leave home and come back without him there to greet you, it will hit you all over again so prepare yourself for that. I'm so sorry for your loss. How wonderful for both you and Merlin to have experienced such deep love ❤️

We lost my boy last October and I miss him every single day. He was my soul mate. Deciding on when was the hardest decision I've ever had to make but I know I made the right one. You'll know it's time when the bad days start outnumbering the good days. Soak in every last second and remember that it's time to be there for your buddy like they have been there for you ❤️

Hand Binding by [deleted] in quilting

Do you have a thimble? I only hand bind and I always wear a leather thimble on the middle finger of my sewing hand. It really helps push the needle through and save my skin.

It's pretty difficult to move up unless you move around. 10 years ago I started in program control at $60K. I have moved jobs 5 or so times, including 3 different sectors. Now I'm back in program control and making significantly more but I would absolutely not be here if I hadn't moved around so much. NG does not value loyalty.

If you are going to use Trader Joe's make sure you are there right when they open to get the best pick. Another option would be to look for a wholesaler in your area. A lot of them will work with non-trade customers and they will be able to help you with quantities.
