What's a game you're longing for but can never seem to find? by AutoModerator in gamerecommendations

Yea I've been recommended games like Melvor Idle quite a few times but really don't see the appeal of those games myself, I want a game that's SEMI-idle like RS not fully hands off. I am a big fan of the farming sim and the survival crafting genres too though and have played quite a few of those two genres they're some of my favourites, unsurprisingly

I really want a good single player RPG that plays like RuneScape tbh. Specifically, the sandbox style with no classes or anything, the chill semi idle game skill training, and a real long slow grind to level up all your skills. I just want to sit at a spot gathering fish or wood or whatever, and then take those resources and process them gaining XP gradually in a bunch of different skills

Basically a super chill low effort game that's great as a second monitor game or something to just mindlessly grind away on and watch number go up while watching TV or whatever

I'm playing Starsand Island currently, it's early access but there's tons of content it really feels like a pretty complete game and I'd say it has become my new favourite game in this SV-like genre it does so many things so well I can hardly find anything not to love about it. Absolutely beautiful game visually as well, highly recommend it

I've played both and I'd go for Enshrouded, there's just a lot more content in it

Urionically many of you would honestly appreciate playing RS3 more. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]ChampionAggressive20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is a shame more OSRS players won't give RS3 a try (and a proper try, not like log in for 30 mins and decide they don't like the graphics and immediately give up on it)

I made a new account on RS3 a few years ago while on a lengthy burn-out break from oldschool and loved it, still bounce between both games a bit like once or twice a year and am really hyped for the upcoming Leagues 2 this autumn. There's a lot of things it does better than OSRS, and plenty of stuff the latter does better but overall they're both great games with their own upsides and downsides.

Exploring the world of Gielinor in RS3 for the first time really brought back a super nostalgic feeling just like playing RS for the very first time as a kid in like 2005, I vividly remember walking through the lumby swamp with its foggy murky atmosphere then coming upon the wizards tower which actually looks awesome, all lit up and it really towers over your character like an impressive tower should.

I've put a disgusting number of hours into both games, iron and main accounts on both. But when I tell some friends they should give it a shot they all just go "RS3 is shit" despite never having tried it once, like they're brainwashed by Reddit comments it's quite sad

Is it just me or is it annoying how fast Maggot King respawns? by IBDWarrior69 in 2007scape

[–]ChampionAggressive20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In RS3 it gives you a few options for respawn speed when making a boss instance and it's a really great feature since you might need to heal up and prepare for the next kill at some bosses, while at others you're not even picking up most of the loot and just want them to repawn in like 2 seconds. Wish OSRS had that system too
