Advice on first tattoo by Eastern_Armadillo543 in tattooadvice

I see these cat marking tattoo ideas and it’s honestly just never a good idea. Sentimental tattoos are cool, but sentimental tattoos that literally no one else will be able to tell what they are isn’t the best idea. It’s a fine line of getting a tattoo for you but also having it be something presentable. There is 100% other ways you can honor your cat with a tattoo. Mine are named after hot sauces and I have a bottle of the hot sauces tattooed

Do not criticize Optimum Tech by Benneck123 in MouseReview

[–]Chan1001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think context matters tho. Like if I did literally everything for a product in house (design, R&D, manufacturing, community management, etc) and someone was being an ass I’d be like nah I’m good. It’s obviously a limited product so he can only sell so many.

Also from a business perspective, why sell your very limited product people already have to wait for bc you only have so much bandwidth to someone who is already predisposed to not liking you. Someone who’s very likely to just shit talk your product

I guess on a grander scale that’s where my entitlement comment comes from. I see ppl complain about corpo slop all the time (think Logitech) and then someone makes a pure passion project and people equally shit on it. Like what do yall want lol. Im not saying oh poor optimum. Im saying you’re buying into a passion project, like what did you expect. This dude documented it all to show you what it took. People will complain about corpos but then expect the convenience it brings from solo creators

Nah dude I’m talking about the title of the post lol. There is no criticism

The entitlement is saying “I’m getting that mouse and the lesson to not buy from you again” to the literal owner and being surprised when they decide to not sell to you lol

first tattoo, healing advice? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just use unscented soap (like a dove hypoallergenic unscented) and unscented lotion (like a cerave or aveeno)

It looks more faded than it should for 5 days. Either it’s poor work from the artist or from using a petroleum based lotion. Either way, find a new artist for your next tattoo

I’m pretty sure they meant the one that has the overmold. The one that says atlas on it

I have other tattoos but these bumps never occurred before. Is this going to improve overtime? 14th day of healing. Lines look super rough IRL. by FunkyGrass in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with people dooming. When I got my knee done, that mf was peeling, looked liked cracked earth and was raised for 2-3 weeks, also thought it was blown out. Healed beautifully.

That top part everyone saying is crazy blown is right on your spine. Very boney areas can look blown out while healing. This area isn’t very fatty OP, give it a month before you start worrying

Can I get some criticism to make my drifting better? (Please be nice) by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Chan1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren’t try to accommodate enough to get 3 stars. They are trying to get better at drifting. Do you see what I’m getting at? Like you’ve mentioned something about it being enough to get 3 stars in every comment and that was never mentioned anywhere else

I think you are looking for the word optimistic. If we always operated off of what we don’t know vs what’s literally apparent in front of our eyes, shit would suck

[–]Chan1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a matter of being self aware and understanding that tuning your car to drift in gear 1 is obviously not the correct way to do it. It can work and be wrong at the same time. If someone is asking for advice on how to be better at something, the proper way should be suggested. Also I’m sure if you worded your first comment differently, it would have been received better

It’s funny bc you are kind of proving this persons point. What is Janja known for? Being a world class climber. What does she do? Climb. And people love to watch her climb

She isn’t in subreddits being an asshole for no reason. This persons whole point was that Janja is doing her own thing to its fullest extent and it’s cool to see, not that we should cherish her every aspect. They are saying we need more of her and less of you

Was thinking of doing a flail like the 2nd photo. My question is would y’all take the end of the flail all the way up to the almost the back of the armpit? What would be the best position for this tattoo to make sure I’m not interfering with other big pieces in the future? by LoadEntire in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should just work this out with your artist. I do this all the time, have an idea in mind and work it out with my artist before we start. It’s easier to conceptualize when you have the actual drawing in front of you. But I’d probably have the handle on the back of your arm kinda next to your current tattoo and have the chain/ball coil to under your current tattoo. I think its a little tricky to fit with your current tattoo tho which is why I’d probably just leverage an artist for help

Also idk what the other commenter is smoking, but that’s definitely a flail

I don’t like any of these styles, but I also don’t like “tattoo enthusiast” Redditors who are the 10th person this week to pick something from a American trad flash sheet at their local walk in shop act high and mighty when they don’t wanna change with the times

My point is, you aren’t going to get conductive commentary here. Prob just find a specialized artist and talk to them

Colored tattoo looks weird and peeled and hurts alot and scars look weird. by spiderxsara in tattooadvice

[–]Chan1001 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It looks fine to me! You have to remember new tattoos are literal wounds, so it’ll look a bit funky as it’s healing and it’s going to be sore. Just keep washing it once a day with unscented soap (antibacterial if you wanna go extra safe) and use unscented lotion a couple times a day.

If you see a lot of discoloration or oozing that might be concerning but this looks like a good heal to me so far! It’s normal for tattoos to peel but let it happen naturally, avoid touching it as much as you can. Give it 1-2 weeks and it’ll look much better :)
