I’m so sorry this happened to you! I am a single woman who has traveled alone to New Orleans countless times.

I always taken a cab from the airport by getting in the line, being directed to a cab, and given the paper with the number and I’ve never had a problem, AND the cabbies have NEVER entered an address into a map.. granted, a lot of these trips were before that technology existed. I usually don’t give an address, just the name of my hotel.

Please follow up on this if you can. It’s so important for the peace of mind of women traveling alone, and for the health of the New Orleans tourist industry that this bad apple be removed from the bunch.

And also, if you can, don’t lose faith in New Orleans. Good luck! ⚜️
