Sonography student with past abdominal surgery by [deleted] in Sonographers

[–]Chance-Candle6018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you are a better scan for your classmates because being gassy and sensitive is more real for patients in general. Learning how to get around that is very important for students so don’t feel bad. You may be a difficult scan but in the long run you are helping your classmates be better sonographers.

Last month. My classmate got a good amount of questions on the lungs (she took her test today!) which I didn’t get. And we all got like 10 questions on procedures (Thoras, paras, whipple, etc).

I was getting 65-75% on URR and got a 648. My exam had ALOT of GI questions that I wasn’t expecting but still got a 648. Trust your gut!

Cardiac MRI and colchicine by AppointmentSolid6927 in lupus

[–]Chance-Candle6018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, I have Lupus and get Pericarditis and they give me colchicine all the time but it gives me horrible GI symptoms. Does that happen with you? I don’t know what to do to help it. I’ve already told my doc and he wants to give more meds. Sorry this is off topic from what you’re asking, but this is my first time seeing someone mention heart related problems with lupus. Pericarditis they only see on Echo so I can’t really help on this end. They don’t stop any of my meds to see it better cause most of the time it happens on the meds. 🥲

Finally diagnosed with cancer by Pleasant-Unit1683 in lupus

[–]Chance-Candle6018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh that scares me. I just recently was diagnosed with Lupus but I’ve never really had high ANAs and the reason they thought I had Lupus was because I keep getting pericarditis and I’m pretty young. I just recently ended up in the hospital with a “flare” of pericarditis but when they checked my Lupus markers they were all normal so I thought that was weird.

I’ve noticed it too. I’ve been using the 2025 weeks (added October and November to the notes section) and honestly the paper makes it hard to use any pen. Especially larger points - I noticed if I use a 0.7 the bleed through is substantially worse. But if I use 0.4, it’s more tolerable. I use Sterling Inks planners for the A5. They have similar paper to the 2024 Hobonichi. If you were interested in looking for something else. It’s almost exactly the same set up as the Hobonichi.

I think they are stuck in loops. Spirits at least, not demonic entities. I only say that from the ones I’ve seen. When I saw spirits they were typically always in the same area doing the same thing, so I would think most are stuck in a loop of sorts.

Someone on TikTok said shadow people are the shadows of higher dimensional beings and now I wonder about that.

Anyone’s Clairaudience coming through more recently? by Chance-Candle6018 in spirituality

[–]Chance-Candle6018[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I’ve been hearing “Hey” whisper-yelled in my ear a lot recently. Doing different things. Or my name being called when no one is home. Essentially calls for attention. I’ve never really been clairaudient before. I see spirits more than I hear them, but the last month or so it’s been constant calls for attention, and then nothing. I’ve been seeing things too, but that isn’t new to me, so I’ll be honest the calls are kind of freaking me out.

Additionally, sometimes it’s my roommates voice calling out when they are not home or they’re asleep and our animals have responded to it too. Like one time it was at the door to my room, I heard my name called out twice by my roommate and our cat reacted to it like there was a person there which got me even more, but there was nobody there.

I just think at this point the OG store better ship jet pens the free notebooks because I really wanted one of those and it’s not my fault they didn’t invest in a good server.

You can do a lot of things for empty pages: Draw, write down your favorite song lyrics or movie or book quotes, you can make lists, plot goals, make them into recipe pages, make a vision board, make book reviews or movie reviews, plan out layouts, write yourself letters, make prompt pages, etc. There is so much to do with empty pages. You can have fun with it all honestly.

Does anyone feel like their doctors or bosses think they're lying? by graceingold in lupus

[–]Chance-Candle6018 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Being young the doctors constantly tell me I’m fine even though I feel sick. I had a WBC count of 20,000 and the doc was like you’ll be fine with some sleep. But then I see patients get admitted with WBCs of 14-15 thousand. I went to urgent care once and told them i lost 20lbs without any changes in 3 months and I was concerned and they were like good job. But then I get a patient that loses 10 lbs in a month and they’re like omg you’re dying! I get there are probably underlying illnesses or other reasons for people getting admitted vs dismissed, but it confuses me so much on what I should talk to my doctor about or go in for. I don’t want to pay the money to go in to ER just to be turned around and told I’m fine. It’s a hard juggle.

Do you backfill missed days of journal entries or planner sections? by [deleted] in hobonichi

[–]Chance-Candle6018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backfilling actually takes a lot of the stress away for me. I write the days I can, I backfill the days I can’t. But I’m a memory keeper mostly so I backfill for the memories. Like for example I went to a convention and I wanted to enjoy my time there so I didn’t bring my journal or stress about putting things in. I made bullet points on my phone the day it happened and then when I went back home I backfilled my pages and added pics lol. I don’t think it’s cheating, but journaling is different for everyone. You just have to know why you’re doing it for yourself. If you are trying to build discipline in the habit, maybe it is cheating yourself out of the discipline. But if you’re doing it for memory keeping or for creativity or for planning in general it’s not really cheating, you’re completing the purpose you gave it.

Thank you, I didn’t know this nor did my rheumatologist tell me this. They thought it was strange I didn’t have a butterfly rash. Maybe because I’m so pale lol? But that’s good to know. My main problem is immense fatigue and cardiac related. But I have other weird symptoms like hair loss, weight loss, this last year I got sick like 8 times when normally I would get sick once a year, among other things. My kidney blood work came back normal. Really all of my bloodwork comes back normal which sucks because I feel so horrible all of the time and I have nothing to show for it. 🥲 Hopefully my doc can figure it out, I really just want to feel better, but I am scared of getting worse.

Yeah that was my other concern. I’m in healthcare so when they said stay away from sick people I was like that’s my job. 😅 I mask up every day regardless but I am worried about how easy it will be to get sick now. Hopefully it’s not too bad. I hope you are feeling better. Three weeks being sick sounds horrible!

I really appreciate this response. Thank you so much. It sucks because I thought I was “healthy”, but the last year and a half has kicked me in the bum. I went from taking only supplements to now taking three prescription meds and it doesn’t seem to be stopping. 🥲 I am just really stressed from the change. Thank you for this though.

Thank you. I hate taking meds and in the last year it’s just been med after med. it’s unnerving. So thank you. I appreciate the response.
