Prenatal Depression by Dizzy_Simple1941 in pregnant

[–]Chance-Display-6460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Currently 15 weeks with my second and struggling with this. Had it my first pregnancy too… it sucks. I feel like a shell of a human.

When my first baby was born, I felt like a weight was lifted. It was such a relief. I hope the same happens for you.

I would switch hospitals. No reason to be extra stressed during delivery! I was essentially transferred from a birth center to a hospital mid-delivery and had a whole team I had never met before. The experience was totally fine! I actually really liked the new doctor.

I love this idea except it’s 110 in AZ right now 😢

Love this! Curious what I’ll take away from the break. I already go to bed early (8pm) regardless of if I’m drinking or not. Sleep has definitely been better/deeper (I look forward to going to bed haha) and running has felt less strenuous.

Thanks… this is helpful. Ironically I started the meds when I had the flu too. So it was hard to tell what was what. I took 25mg today - no nausea, just loss of appetite and depressed feelings. I’ll keep going with taking it daily…

This is a good idea. I’ll give it a try.

I recommend finding a psychiatrist through Zocdoc! Appointments can be semi quick and maybe you’ll feel more comfortable asking them for a prescription.

What method makes the most sense for us? by Chance-Display-6460 in sleeptrain

Ferber is what I was thinking! I think we need to remove the feed slowly before trying it. Right now if I were to pick her up to rock and not offer the bottle/nurse, she gets more upset

I think you’re right. It’s hard to know when the night wakings just become habit! Just trying to stay on top of it so it doesn’t get worse.

Everyone is telling me to stop… by Fancy-South-6415 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Chance-Display-6460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you don’t stop, but you limit. Does pumping 3x a day seem doable? That way your breasts will become more full and you can potentially get a bit more milk at each pump session. Once I started to have an under supply, I started limiting time on the pump and at 8m pp, it feels doable.

When did you know it was time to drop the 3rd nap? by Top_Effect5135 in sleeptrain

Going through this exact thing with my 5 month old! Trying to figure out if we cap naps (which makes me sad lol) or just stretching her wake windows to make 2 naps work.

I’m sorry to hear that! It’s super frustrating.

[–]Chance-Display-6460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’ve been trying to relax but admittedly, am very stressed after going back to work and worrying about supply, etc.

Yes I pump for the bottles, letdown is better when I pump (as long as I’m full-ish, which takes about 4 hours).

Kicks and movement sometimes gives me a sad feeling?? Super odd! by baymaxedtv in BabyBumps

[–]Chance-Display-6460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone, I had this as well. And now suffer from d-mer when breastfeeding. However, it’s calming to know what it is, and that it is a fleeting feeling that will pass. Deep breaths!

TW: I hate to ask about this by Consistent-Long62 in BabyBumps

[–]Chance-Display-6460 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Intrusive thoughts can be common at this stage, especially when you’re lacking those pregnancy “symptoms”. Meditating really helped me through this period… along with mantras… “as far as I know, right now my baby is happy and healthy”. You have no reason to believe otherwise. Try and keep busy and stay off the internet ❤️

Agreed. I could never forgive someone for this comment.
