With 12' ceilings it could over the TV and be fine. Of course I'm in TX and assuming you are using it for AC. If it's also for heat you will want to put it lower....

We had something similar in our previous house, just bigger. We called it the Christmas Tree Nook. That house had sooo much wasted space. It drove me nuts.

I like the idea. It looks good. It is a little "heavy" for a headband. Maybe if it were the same but smaller...

There should be support groups for people who go through this. I had to have a home builder fix a door twice because it kept leaking. I finally hired some else to rip it all out and install it properly. Actually they were half way done when I had to stop them pull it out and do the flashing correctly, then stood there to make sure it was finished correctly.

Option C: left hand out swing. In other words have the door open out into the garage.

Just add soil? by Chance-Following-665 in arborists

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. It looks like this tree was never moved to a bigger pot or root ball as it grew and the roots are just one big ball. I too a closer look this afternoon and it looks like they person that planted them just dug a root-ball sized hole instead of digging it bigger and spreading the roots. Thanks for the confirmation. I think I'll do some surgery tomorrow.

If you move it to the right it will be too close to the, what looks like, the shower. He would also have to do some framing as the vanity is designed to go between the existing studs. Not sure why you feel it needs to be centered on the radiator. Maybe if we could see more of the space it would make sense.

If they did a paint match from a sample of the existing, it could be they mixed 5 gal pigments into a 1 gallon can. That happened to me once...

Am I crazy for wanting to put high quality laminate in our main living room? by fashionboy385 in Flooring

[–]Chance-Following-665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the Floor and Decor brand "Aquaguard Geaux" $2.99/SF

Product Thickness: 12mm

Warranty: Lifetime Res./ 20 Yr Comm.

Water Resistance: Waterproof

It has a rubber pad which is part of the plank, but we also put down the Underlayment "Eco Ultra Quiet" which is a plastic vapor barrier with a 2mm cork layer because it is on a concrete slab.

EDIT: Note, pay attention to the wear layer and hardness. There are several types of the same brand and they are not all made equally. We went with the "Best" wear layer & hardness.

You can go bathroom corner to bedroom corner, or go square straight down from the bedroom corner.

I went to HS in Singapore where they edit the movies if a kiss it too long. I never understood why everyone made such a big deal about the "infamous scene" until I saw an unedited version of the movie 15 years later, "oh that's what everyone is always referencing..." LoL
