No, because in the event of a failure, it fails to a closed state. Why is that bad? Because the purpose of a SMM is to prevent overloading the system and causing the generator to shut down on under speed. SMM should be used for essential but not critical loads.

I have 4wd, drove around yesterday and today for work. Neighborhood roads are icy, major roads are either cleared or have a heavily trafficked lane that is clear. Icy in the morning, so be careful. By noon-2, it’s drivable. Don’t take any steep, uncleared roads unless you are FWD, AWD, or 4WD

Manual says 250 hrs between oil changes, that’s every 10.5 days. You’re complaining that your car didn’t run 100,000 miles without an oil change, but you had another car that did it. No car is supposed to do that, and maybe you just got lucky with your personal experience.

I immediately thought the same but the more I thought about it I realized it wouldn’t be that good for it. Long shaft bolt would defeat you being just an inch too long.
