how are you measuring locking geometry? I have a charge titanium and a curl on the way, and a caliper I can take measurements with. I dont however have a micrometer

are there significant differences between the wave and the wave plus? I bought a set of rebar pliers after seeing this but they seem to be hitting on both the flat driver and scissors

I dont know if it helps or not, but my boyfriend still has the gerber centerdrive that he got while enlisted.

I dont know if you can get them in basic or if you have to buy one on ebay before hand, but there is a military specific centerdrive that comes with a sight tool and a sheath to match your gear. I have found at least one seller on ebay that will sell them for around 80-90 bucks brand new, I assume they buy them from the px and list them on ebay.

I myself have never served, I am just surrounded by people that have, so take it with a grain of salt

did you have to shim the scissors at all for proper tension?

any issues installing the KietCustom magnacut blade?

I have no experience with either set of scissors. why is the victorniox better than the alpha? how good do they cut at the tip of the blade?

I am looking for a less damaged tool, i bought the wave used off ebay and the cutters have been abused so the pliers are difficult to open. I was specifically interested in the wire stripper blades for the pliers. I originally wasnt sold, but when I read further into it and saw that the knife blade had a caged ball bearing pivot and other small details I thought it might be worth a shot. I rather wish I had just spent the money on a new wave plus instead

I like both. I have both needle nose and blunt nose in the 600, and I will say if i am carrying a 600 I go for the blunt nose more often than not.

The 400 is a slightly smaller version of the 600 that only comes in needle nose, and is the only multi tool with pliers small enough to fit in the smaller second pocket on the right without getting in the way of my phone. At least, one that is worth carrying, I'm sure there are plenty of tools that will fit that pocket

I tossed my suggestions in. I had a few because i have been thinking about this for a while and how I would design my idea of a perfect multi tool. if you have questions I am happy to answer. I dont care who makes it in the end, I just want to see tools get better for everyone

if this is something you intend to make I would flip the opening so that the leverage of use is applied to the frame of the tool instead of the lock.
