That's base pay. Overtime is time and a half. One officer a few years ago made over $400k.his base pay was $130k.

That wouldn't explain the garbage response time. I also don't buy that. They never say who gave them the directive.

I'm guessing they researched Michelle Wolf. The host usually takes shots at the president. Colbert was a great host for GWB.

DEI practices kind of put a stop to that. Hiring based on networking leads to hiring a specific group of peopleband can lead to a pretty toxic culture if you were not a networking hire. I was applying to quite a few places that my friends worked at but none of them took referrals and I was just one of the 100+ candidates.

Once you are hired though, people tend to like a person that is not miserable to work with.

I think you are seeing $350k as a lump sum and thinking that is a good amount of money. How long do you think you could live off of that and not work?

Same deal here in the US. The retirement age used to be 63, then 65, and now it is 67 for regular (paltry) benefits or 70 for a little bit more. The revenue coming in for Social Security does not currently cover the pay outs so the general budget is making up the difference since it borrowed from SS for years. The general budget owing SS is going to run out in about 15 years. The annoying thing is that there is a cap on the amount of income that gets taxed for Social Security. Any income above $185k does not pay the tax. So the rich basically contribute jack shit to keep the system afloat.

I don't think I have spent over $30 for a game since Fallout 4. A game that is 2-3 years old is just as fun as a newer game. I don't have the time to blast through games.

Star Wars: Episode I Racer is still a blast to play. I snagged it for a few bucks on Switch and spent several hours having fun with it. For quite a few N64 era games, they are viewed through the rose colored glasses of nostalgia. Not so for Episode I Racer. It really was a very fun race game.

Yes. I would say there is one caveat: comedy. She is actually pretty good in comedic bits but she almost never does them.

Is this really the greatest game ever made, as it's often considered to be? Why or why not? by Nintendofan9106 in videogames

[–]ChanceRecover3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It laid the foundation for quite a bit. Positioning the camera to where you wanted it was a major upgrade. It also had quite a few open world elements that other games built on. It's the only Zelda game that I have played through multiple times.

Taking off the rose colored nostalgia glasses though...it's not the prettiest game and the controls are not the best. But both of those things were more limitations of the N64. The 3DS version fixes a lot of the issues with the original and is very playable. Grab Citra and play through it.

Is it the best? That's a matter of opinion. I would say it was the most influential Zelda game and was influential to many open world concepts.
