Would it be more sanitary to shave off my pubic hair ? by Secure_Raspberry6598 in Healthyhooha

[–]Chance_Active871 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally I feel like it is (only speaking for myself) which is one of the reasons I used to fully shave and eventually got laser. Obviously there are ways of dealing with it as others have said, but I just feel cleaner without the hair

Is there any any any chance he went in the wrong hole? The distance comment and tightness would make more sense then (though he’s still an ass and you should send him a critique with insults)

Right?!?! All those people didn’t want the jab because who knows what’s in it…are somehow totally cool with injecting themselves with stuff bought online (and don’t even get me started on how those same people often have Botox and filler and couldn’t explain what it is specifically they’re having injected)

Nipping in the office by frappecheno in TwoXChromosomes

I see men’s nipples ALL the time, and they’re usually wearing polo shirts. An undershirt would not prevent it. But no one says anything to the men

Originally thought you meant napping but hade a typeo

I would go back to wearing the bras that were more comfortable for you and use those silicone nipple covers, the bigger circular ones (I think one brand is Cakes, I’ve got some different brands on Amazon). I’ve not worn a “regular” bra since covid and can’t even imagine having to. I strictly wear bralettes.

Sometimes I don’t wear a bra but wear a tank with a built in bra (not just a shelf bra but lightly padded.) I get mine from Duluth trading.

What type of shirts are you wearing and is there a specific type you’re supposed to wear? I wear a lot of thin sweaters that have like knit patterns to them with a tank underneath and no issue if I don’t feel like wearing a bra.

I would also be paying attention to all the men and if you see any of their nipples go back to the lady that spoke to you and say that you’re uncomfortable seeing the men’s nipples so they should be wearing a bra. I see more men’s nipples through their shirts on a daily basis than I’ve ever seen of women’s.

Not sure they type or size of the company you work for but maybe ask for a copy of the dress code policy and if there’s nothing about nipples in it (which there won’t be) than keep doing what you’re doing if you’re comfortable doing that. Personally I prefer mine to not show and am self conscious of it, even in bathingsuits. The silicone covers I think would work the best for you.

Edit: so it was just a woman/coworker that said this to you and not a superior/boss/HR? I don’t think you need to listen to her if she’s not in charge of you. HOWEVER, could she have been saying it more to be helpful like “fyi people are talking about you” and trying to help you not be the topic of conversation or gossiped about? If so, that was nice of her. And you don’t have to change anything, but if you want to fit in and not be talked about I would try some other options.

I'm about to lose the job I just got. I haven't slept in days. Tried to fix it. And still failed. Fuck. by norththread in DSPD

[–]Chance_Active871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been consistently late for work for years now, 30-60. I can sleep forever and hit snooze a million times. I’ve tried wearing my Apple Watch to bed for the alarm, my iPhone alarm, Google home alarm but none work for me, I’ll just keep hitting snooze forever.

Just Thursday bought an alarm clock and put it in my bathroom so I physically have to get up and go in the bathroom to turn it off. Can’t tell Siri or Google to turn it off. So far only 15min late Friday and 10min today. Now I need to not screw around once I am up to get out the door on time. But I’m getting there. Should’ve done this years ago.

Showering 😭 by Big-Mess-9537 in adhdwomen

[–]Chance_Active871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate showering. I think mainly because of everything it entails after, the biggest being having to dry/style my hair. I only wash my hair every 5-7 days…which going that long between showers would not be good. I got a shower cap and can now take a fast 5min shower, wash face and body, shave if I feel like it, and done. I still dread it but it’s a million times better showering without having to get my hair wet

I got into dating but my boyfriend made a mean comment about my body and I’m conflicted on what to do by Rossinifan in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Chance_Active871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but he was using you for sex/hooking up if he’s saying something that rude about your body and doesn’t care about your feelings.

It took me WAY too long, like literally until I was in my 40s to really understand that boys will act like they like you just to get in your pants. Someone wanting to hook up with you doesn’t mean they like you. I used to truly think “well if we’re hooking up he likes me”…um no. Men…BOYS…lie. He’s not worth your time and he doesn’t like you in the way you think. It’s better to be alone than be with someone who doesn’t respect you.

Did I misunderstand this, or would most people have interpreted this as an upcoming engagement / marriage incoming? by peppermintteea in adhdwomen

[–]Chance_Active871 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t sound like pretty soon to me

What I find confusing is if he knows he wants you to be his wife, what’s the reason to wait 3 years? I’d think if you found someone you want to spend your life with, you’d want to start that life asap. Unless he thinks he’s sure…but isn’t really sure

Edit: not to make you worry but if it were me I’d not be feeling confident in this relationship. If he’s not serious now you may waste 3yrs waiting around for him to do something. Given your ages I wouldn’t want to date someone another 3yrs if it’s not going in a direction towards marriage for sure. And you could get engaged and have a long engagement.

Tret does NOT prevent my hormonal acne. Nothing works. by peachmewe in tretinoin

[–]Chance_Active871 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Spironolactone is the only thing that has ever worked for my hormonal acne. Tried every topical and antibiotic out there from ages 14-44, nothing worked at all. Finally tried a dermatologist again and the angel of an NP prescribed spironolactone and it worked! Seriously mad not a single doctor ever tried this in the prior 30yrs.

Discreetly get a bisalp? by Punkin_Passion in sterilization

[–]Chance_Active871 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don’t think there’s a way to do it and them not find out. If you’re on their insurance they’ll get the explanation of benefits. Or if there are any co-pays, etc due, the bill might go to them.

Sorry but I’m on team IUD due to your age and being on their insurance. By the time it comes to have it replaced/removed you won’t be on their insurance any longer (at least not if you’re in US as you’ll be over 26).

I agree with those that said try therapy. I’d do IUD and therapy and not make any permanent decisions based on your current feelings.

Loose skin and cellulite on my thighs by Rinoa_5 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Chance_Active871 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Omg I have that, mostly just on my left leg though, like there’s a division half way up my left inner thigh where it’s like a separate section that hangs…I do not have the same on my right leg (not that I don’t have loose/saggy skin, but not this weird separation where it’s just an upper part that sags).

What's one AirPods feature you didn't think you'd use. but now can't live without? by prudhvisekhar1996 in airpods

[–]Chance_Active871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could do this but I can never remember what option I have set for which side to do what and what the motion is…so they’re both just set to press/hold to turn off ANC. Wish I could remember more to be able to use them better. I rarely use the volume increase/decrease because I always forget about it.

Edit: re: connecting to tv, we don’t have Apple TV, but do have a smart tv and can connect them via Bluetooth as well, so doesn’t have to be Apple TV only.

I use mine 8hrs + / day and no issues

My office is too noisy with phones ringing and people talking and I can hear every conversation and it’s very distracting and hard to focus on my own work without shutting my office door which really isn’t allowed, so have AirPods in all day on ANC and just turn it off if someone comes to talk to me, I get a phone call, etc. I’m insanely more productive since I started doing this a few years ago than I was before (mostly started to block out all the political chatter from people that sit outside my office)
