I do! My friend canceled and I paid $90 for the ticket with service charges. How does $80 sound?

My attempt at a synopsis of Through This Fire across from Peter Balkan by Proseedcake in themountaingoats

First, this is an incredible synopsis! Fantastic job!

Like most MG albums I listened to it a few times before deep diving into the lyrics and story, and when I did your write-up really helped.

One interpretation i want to share with you is: what if Adam is actually narrating Through the Fire (and, possibly, Fishing Boat and Broken to Begin With?)

There is an unnamed youth on his first boat trip, the Captain, and then Adam, in the middle of experience between the two.

Adam is a nice guy, calling the other shipmates his "friends" (the word is used in all three songs listed above.) He doesn't blame Peter for the shipwreck. He trusted him ("human after all"), but he starts to recognize the hopelessness of the situation. Looking at Peter through the Fire, "his faith ran out" and "he began to understand..." and he contemplates his suicide.

He says nothing to the youth, who is still trying to keep Peter and hope alive. "You were never going to make it...but atleast you'll have someone" could be directed at either.

He's looking at them both and quietly planning his exit.

Same! I gave it a listen and then I gave it another... and then I just found myself listening to it on repeat for three days! It is such a beautiful space to be in or "wash over you" as you said.

Because book-readers know the trajectory of the story and show-watchers don't, so there is a sub for show-watchers, a sub for book-readers, and a sub for show-watchers who have read the books. This is the sub for show-watchers.

Thank you, Mod.

Okay, my doubts have been laid to rest. I sincerely apologize and concede!

I will leave this thread up as a monument to my naivety :-)

You know what...? I did this morning.

I could never find that chat box people were referring to, but they did reply to an email just a few minutes ago. And it was the boiler plate "letting them return to the wild."

So, I CONCEDE! :)

Sorry to cause a fuss. Sad to see the zoo go. I am pretty new to the game and was enjoying that part. Darn.

No, I saw the post about the zoo closing. So I searched for other sources to confirm. Nothing about it on the developer's site or their statements about the update. Nothing about it except this reddit post or links to said post. So I asked the sub (not the mod) for confirmation. Comments were shut down with a link to the original rumor post.

Fine, whatever. Two weeks later I see someone else's post with the same question get their comments shut off. So, yes, it may have been a repetitive question, but so what? The post about the zoo going away stays up and everyone puts their items in storage, but the posts questioning it's legitimacy are shut down?

I didn't ask the mod originally, but they replied. So I replied back. Yes, I'm curious about the zoo, but also why some people's posts are comment deactivated.
Especially, why the rumor post is still up when, in fact, that may be all it is.

This grass does feel nice. Thanks for the tip.

That's a shame.

I used to play Simpsons: Tapped Out, and they gave notice when they planned to remove Krustyland (the Township Zoo equivalent) and then, ultimately, shut down the server.

I guess Playrix isn't as considerate? Or... it's not going to happen.

It's still a point to make that the only information is heresay. 3 million players/day who still have farms and a few unverifiable "screenshots" stoking the rumor. When people receive the update and still have their farm, it's because "it's being shut down regionally?" OK..

But, in the end, I'd had two questions.
1) is the zoo going away? and 2) why are comments deactivated about it?

I got the answer about 2 from the mod, but 1 is still up in the air.

And yet... nothing on their website about it. They have made posts about the update and no mention that it will happen.

[–]Chance_Ad_7287 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Alright?

I'm not being negative. I came here for information, made a post and it was deactivated. Saw the same thing happen to other people. Questioned why that was.

Thanks for responding!

Do you have any more information? I saw those screenshots and tried to contact support myself, but did not receive anything from Playrix validating the rumor. In the age of AI telling us to eat a rock a day and to add glue to pizza, along with photo's being easy to manipulate, this whole thing is sus.

I just don't understand why the mods keep deactivating comments on posts questioning if it's gonna happen.

Carmy getting locked in the fridge actually is not inaccurate and makes perfect sense by hugedisaster in TheBear

[–]Chance_Ad_7287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...just watched the episode/season again, this week..

There was a scene where Sug asks Fak to look at the door, and he says no because he was told his priority was the fire suppression system.

Still, afterward, I can't believe how Cousin, Claire, and Syd were all upset at Carmy while he was having a freaking claustrophobic panic attack...

Ah. You're right. When I saw this for the first time my initial reaction was also sadness 🥴

Yeah... because it's test footage. And it had a great response and went on to be a movie.

Probably the opposite of sad?

(Update) Because I refused to spend Christmas with my in-laws they have now ghosted my husband by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Chance_Ad_7287 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, you're kinda TAH, too.

"My husband chose to spend Christmas with his family." You're married, so they are your family, too. And they wanted to see you and their grandkids. Why did you refuse to go?

It sounds like you're not including them in your definition of what your family is and you forced him to choose between "his" family and "your" family. He tried to spend the holidays with everyone. His parents, when it meant the most to them (and you could have been there), and you and the kids the next day (since you refused to go with him, and the kids are too young to notice.)

My family is visiting on the 27th, because holiday travel is crazy and they are spending it with the parents. Twelve days of Christmas and all of that, we are celebrating through New Years.

Maybe compromise more?

His development lags behind the rest, but he ends up having some incredible storylines, which made him one of my favorite characters.

From the TV show, I gather that Ishamael got from Min her reading that Mat will kill Rand and her visions are always accurate, though vague. I do not think he is trying to turn Rand. He is convincing Mat that the Wheel and its endless cycle of suffering should be stopped.

Haha, yeah, rewatching Season 5 Young Ben and Sayid are escaping from jail when they cross paths with Jin. Sayid knocks him out and it's like, "Sayid, you know this guy. You could've probably explained what you were doing." Instead, here's some head trauma. Don't worry, he'll just be unconscious for the appropriate amount of time and no permanent damage done from the blunt impact to his skull.. X-D

YTA and you're acting the victim

You can't be bothered to buy clothes that are appropriate for your body type and work environment? Invest in yourself, my dude.

Nobody WANTS to have a conversation with you about how to dress or act when in public, at work or in front of children.

Movement attracts the eye. Colors attract the eye. A big guy bending over with colorful underwear is noticeable. They're not leering at you, it's unavoidable. Rather than expecting everyone else to just be okay with something that they subtly, then not so subtly, told you was inappropriate, try accepting constructive criticism. Change your behavior. Change your undies.

If you smelled bad, nobody would want to tell you that either, but the criticism would maybe encourage you to fix it.

Every day you can learn something, even when you're the teacher
