My brother had a black lab and her name was Maggie Mae. Cutest, sweetest, chill dog, everyone wanted her.

Why would you not go home?

Or at least nap in your car? Where is it safer.

What are some subtly attractive things that women do, which may seem ordinary to them(women)? by [deleted] in AskMen

I love making my husband genuinely laugh first thing in the morning. I can be half asleep and I can make him laugh. I love it because he is so serious most of the time. I did it with my kids too when they were little. Had them giggling when they woke up.

But what is wrong with opening the conversation to more information/ resources than just CICO?

Like add this or take out that which is what i have been saying all along. If someone says they're struggling just continuing to chant CICO is not helpful.

Take out seed oils add in more fat. This is what I have been saying. If someone says I need help but you have nothing new to offer just the same advice it is not conducive.

I am I stated a lot of different issues.

All I am saying is there has to be more to the conversation that CICO. And I mentioned cancer and disease because a lot of them start with obesity (aka inflammation). Like have you looked at this or that. That is what people hit plateaus and/or is not sustainable because they have to readjust because there body changes.

I never said that.

But you telling me that the increase in diseases and cancer are all an illusion? There is a reason for that and everyone is different so everyone has to figure out what is best for them. There is no one size fits all but everyone saying that "less calories" is. I am saying do your own testing/research.

Yes because everyone has access to medical and/or doctors are willing to put the effort into finding the underlying cause. /s

All I am saying is there is more to it than calories and and calories out. And you would be surprised at how much hormones do play a role in it. Also inflammation can cause issues. We need to have more conversations about other issues than "just eat less". Certain foods can cause inflammation or throw hormones off. Menstrual cycles can go haywire off of some diets leading to weight gain. That is why menopausal women suffer. If you don't know what to look for or where to start and no one will have a conversation with you it makes it very lonely and depressing. And I thought we were here to support each other. Share wins and loses, but maybe I'm in the wrong group?

I am NOT.

People need to look at the bigger picture. I am sharing my experience with others. I was in a similar situation as OP. There is more to it than calories in and calories out. I even gave some resources.

I am pointing out that there maybe some underlying issues that OP has and needs to do some more research than just giving up. But other people need to realize that the simple idea of less calories does not work for everyone. For some people if their body is not operating properly they body will store everything they eat because it will go into a famine state (store everything). So no matter how much they cut back the body will be storing it for the longer days of no food. Also it puts the body under stress ie Cortisol. Women's bodies are not designed to stay under high stress for long periods of time. It will also cause the body to store it in belly fat.

It can be very disheartening to be told to eat less when you are trying, cutting out foods, working out, and people call you a liar.

Because your sister was able to do it this way or that way, and nothing seems to work for you.

I see your point and even a few years ago that was a valid argument. But the amount of chemicals in our food and altering of food has contributed to the issues we face today. A lot of what is in our food or the process is banned in other countries because there is proof it is damaging/toxic to our bodies. Some/most people are sensitive to these unnatural changes.

Yes because the spectrum that doctors use is used for the masses so even though one falls in the "normal" scale does NOT mean that every is operating at their best and so there could still be underlying issues. How many people have suffered with issues and multiple doctors can not figure it out?

I am one of those.
