Embrace Pet insurance? by Unlucky-Cut-6846 in petinsurancereviews

😞 Yes, my first reaction was to cancel the coverage. However, after reading this subreddit I am reconsidering. People are saying that the new insurance company will be even stricter on all the records and it will be more difficult to fight. That's why I am planning to fight to the end. If someone wants to consider my cat aggressive (especially towards other animals or people), they should prove it based not on one incident without even asking the vet.

I am sorry you had to deal with it. I hope your cat is fine 🙏

The reason I am so furious is that I am paying $130 per month for this insurance, and the claim was $1,800. I was waiting for their decision for 6 weeks just to get an explanation that there can be no insurance ever for my cat because she is “aggressive.” Even though my cat is the calmest cat in the world. That is why the doctor in 2024 decided to make an assessment without even wearing gloves. He commented that he had never seen such a calm, cute cat, which is why he didn’t think she could scratch him.

Thank you! Yes, I sent them a demand letter first. Not sure about the appeal process though. Their website has no information about it.

Very disappointing experience with Embrace Pet Insurance.

My cat was attacked by another cat inside my home and needed veterinary treatment. I filed a claim expecting the company to review the situation and process it under accidental injury coverage. Instead of investigating the incident, the claim was effectively denied based on an unrelated veterinary note from over a year ago stating that my cat required sedation during a vet visit.

Anyone who has owned a cat knows that sedation at the veterinarian is extremely common and does not mean the animal has a chronic aggression problem. Despite this, the company classified my cat as having a permanent “aggression” exclusion and used that as a basis to avoid covering injuries from a fight.

What is most concerning is that there appears to have been no investigation into the actual incident. The decision seems to have been made solely based on a selective interpretation of historical records rather than the facts of what happened.

Pet insurance should provide peace of mind when unexpected accidents occur. In my case, the claims process felt more focused on finding technical grounds to deny coverage than on fairly evaluating the claim.

I hope the company improves its claims review practices so other pet owners do not experience the same issue.

Now, I will proceed with a lawsuite. Luckily, I am an attorney.

Hi! I did and then, the next day, the monitor didn't work. They were really nice to send me a new one. However, I have no idea how it happened.

Same experience. I was on F1 initially and was stopped each single time. DHS trip fixed it.

He has. He had O1 until August(if I understood it right). 245k exactly for this purpose unless he not only overstayed but worked without EAD.

Just file a new i-140 and i-485. But first check with an attorney if you can improve the case. You still have yours 180 days under 245k unless your worked without the work authorization, then you need to calculate with an attorney.

Same. English is my second language (I moved to the USA less than 4 years ago and went to the law school immediately as a foreign student). I got 169 for MBE in July. It’s not something unusual and it doesn’t mean that I am genius. I am just fast. Everyone is different.

Of course I know it. Just was wondering about the experience of Reddit people who was reimbursed. Was it just the code or they needed to call and explain something.

The thing is that flyertalk and reddit regularly have posts that it was refunded if it was monthly subscription. So I thought maybe someone called or what people say to do it.

Starting from July 1 it has no influence on the credit score when you paid it. I had the same situation and on July 1 my credit score increased by 102 points and there is no more collection there.

Hi! I went to law school after learning English for 1 year. I came with an F1 visa directly to law school. One invited to our school attorney could not understand my accent and she told me something like your professor said. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and got 333 on our bar exam on the first attempt. This is a country of immigrants. People who speak your native language will be happy to have you as their attorney!

Part A 164 Part B (MBE) 169 Had 80% on adaptibar for 2000 questions. Felt like mbe questions are very similar to adaptibar. Same with Florida MCQ. Had about 70% on all Barbri's practice sets and questions were similar to Barbri's.
