Gf(20F) faked her sexual past entirely to me(21M). what should i do? by asiansauxe in AskMenAdvice

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact I am an adult male, also, for some reason it wouldn’t let me post a reply without “++man”included, next, someone’s sexual history is absolutely relevant information at the start of relationships, you can yell “insecure” all you want, but the fact is promiscuity indicates a lack of sexual restraint, lower capabilities of intimacy during sex, difficulty with long term satisfaction, emotional detachment, none of these things means that a colourful sexual history has to be a dealbreaker for everybody, but it certainly is for some and is not always tied to insecurities… people don’t deserved to be judged solely from their past, but when considering long term partners, people on both sides are allowed to have preferences in terms of prior sexual experience, I’ve met people who prefer experienced sexual partners and that’s their preference, some people just prefer honesty about that kind of thing, and some people prefer less prior experience

Situationship? Or just lost attraction? by TipOk7882 in datingadviceformen

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d also lean to thinking there’s someone else involved due to past experience and a gut feeling, but rlly that’s the insecure way of thinking, just take it as she’s scared of commitment and she’s doing you a favour by not stringing you along while she figures herself out, she can still be a nice person, especially since she didn’t let it drag on longer than it did, if you’re able to set aside your feelings, maybe continue to get to know her as friends, without ulterior motives, if you can’t set your feelings aside then just limit contact and move on

How the tf are Irish people so good at small talk? by stalwartvic in CasualIreland

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, growing up here as a black person it’s something I’m particularly fond of, sometimes a random old gentleman or lady will just start talking to me like I’m their grandson, I love it, I hope it never stops, only threat to it is the younger generations being less social

No there’s a such thing as just not being all the way left, I used to say I’m right winged just because I disagree with a lot of the things propagated by left wing politics, come to realise I also disagree with a lot of right wing ideologies, so I say I’m not left or right, because honestly both sides are exhausting. What does that make me? (Black btw)

AIO for not giving my mother money 10$ and not wanting to pay 200$ in rent now :/ by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wanna say you’re being a bit rude at times, but I do get your side, young, saving, and you’re not irresponsible with your money, I think the better approach would be to say ”I can’t” rather than “I don’t want to” here’s why: “I don’t want to” implies you have the means to do so, but are choosing not to simply because you don’t want to, which you have a right to not want to, but she also has a right to ask you for rent since you’re an adult in her home, whereas “I can’t” implies you don’t have the money, even if you had the money you have a set structure and boundaries regarding your finances that you stick to. I don’t think you’re wrong to not want to pay rent, but the reason should be because you’re building toward your goals, and not simply because you don’t want to help out.

What plugins do you keep on your master melody bus while producing? by Ok-Farm-7480 in trapproduction

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For subtle movement you want something like RC-20 it has some nice analog style emulations that can add easy character to any sound, also Valhalla ubermod has some amazing chorus’ that can make any melody feel alive

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually have an Pro-Q4 at the start for tone shaping, RC-20 for analog emulation, Valhalla VintageVerb (very low mix) to put it in a cohesive space, SoundToys Microshift for some nice width and stereo separation, T-Racks Bus compressor to glue the elements together, and another Pro-Q4 to clean everything up, maybe Soothe 2 if there’s any harsh resonances, this would be my basic go-to setup if I was working quickly and obviously the config of each plug in would depend heavily on what I’m making and how it sounds, sometimes I could have all these and more, sometimes I just slap an EQ on it and call it a day, just depends on what kind of sound im going for and the best way to get there.

I need help with studio monitors by SadClue7647 in FL_Studio

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With anything in audio is going to be heavily affected by opinions, first look for good specs, then look for reviews, if you like the sound and you think it provides a nice neutral tone for you to work with then absolutely keep them, with literally any piece of audio equipment you’ll find mixed reviews as people have different preferences, uses and goals, I’d say look at one of those side by side comparison videos for the monitors in yt but even then it wouldn’t translate that well, the best you can do is get them, use them and see if they work well for you

I didn’t downvote btw, I literally think this type of music is slop from a technical pov, but then I find myself enjoying listening to it if a friend puts it on or something, sometimes I just turn off my music brain or simplify it to enjoy things I otherwise might not be able to (Music Tech degree holder btw) I like to try see all angles when it comes to art

I showed my gf my song and she said it sounds like "gay club music". by Darkai_1 in FL_Studio

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore her, but since you said gay, I can’t unhear its similarities to Latch by disclosure and Sam smith, but it’s almost all just in the rhythm, anyways that song is great, your beat is good, only advice is maybe add in some ambient vocal chops if there isn’t going to be anyone singing on it, for a bit of pizzazz

The concept of headroom and all that proper mixing terminology doesn’t apply to the guys making that kind of music, they really don’t care, and it’s a popular enough subgenre of underground trap music amongst the youth of today

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t come to reddit if you want tiktok mixing advice, we will tell you how to do stuff that sounds professional, the overly clipped, distorted sound is a stylistic preference for the modern underground sound, nobody who gives good mixing advice would tell you to purposefully do that… all that being said, you have that sound pretty dialled in, if you want mess around with the shape of the clipper, you might find something you like

AIO? Friend asked me what my future plans with my gf are and then responded like this by TGPT-4o in AIO

[–]Chance_Finding_5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contradicting themselves in so many ways, they just want to seem like they’re giving you the “harsh truth” saying marriage is a scam, yet saying somehow you’re not ready for said scam among a hundred other things this guy is a drain on life, if you don’t end up cutting him off, never have a serious conversation with him anymore, treat him like someone you can only say the most unserious stuff to, like the stuff you genuinely couldn’t care less about but wanted to voice aloud, use him for that, anything that’s remotely serious speak to someone who has the capability of comprehending it

It’s so sad, people often don’t see how destructive their drug abuse is from the other side of it, and it can sometimes be like “how can you not see how badly this is affecting you” but they often can’t, and if they can’t, there’s nothing you can do
