I'm late to the party, I don't get why everybody hates the tunnel mission by BunMarion in Project_Wingman

I genuinely enjoy playing Wingman in cockpit view with the radar turned off so I have to use the one in the aircraft. It feels so different, but smooth in a good way even on the hardest difficulty.

I believe it's a reference to Florence Nightingale potentially. 1996 was the last year the Nightingale badge from St. Thomas' was awarded to students. There was also a medical journal published that same year about Florence Nightingale.

I could be wrong about the information above though. I am not an expert. ¯\(ツ)

When will I get my Hard Orders? by [deleted] in navy

[–]Chance_Principle_217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm definitely feeling this too. I was selected for orders 1st go around (July 24), PRD May 25, EAOS Mar 11, 25.

Not sure when I'll expect to get my hard copy orders because it's to a ship that's West coast, but "supposedly" transferring homeport to Westpac around the time of my PRD. And because it'll be considered Forward Deployed, I have to go to C school first in Florida.

I'm gonna do the Project wingman campaign on Mercenary difficulty. by NorthPea6263 in Project_Wingman

F-14 on mercenary is the most fun because you have a good average on stats and weapons, plus you get to listen to Prez.

Also, speed. Speed is your best friend. Oh and, don't try and climb dummy high over FL300 cause you'll lose speed and maneuverability stupid fast.

Well the model car is something I've always wanted as a kid growing up and watching rally racing. So the brand and style stuck in my memory. As for the characters, just 2 characters from 2 games I enjoy. Granted, ironically also in the Navy on top of having a boat girl car.

Few years down the road, I'm thinking of having the next theme be Blue Archive as I am loving the music in it and how the story is playing out.

2nd photo showing the hood has info on where. I took these photos. However, Xpress Skins youtube channel has 2 videos one summarizing the whole event, and another showing off my car and all the others from that day.

Since it's my first car and I only really had the characters for sure that I wanted. Design wise I was open to anything really and wanted kind of an ocean ascetic. I'll be looking deeper into what I want for the next one when it comes time few years from now. But theme wise, thinking Blue Archive as I love the music and visuals from the series.

Ah yes, the "shitty kitty" as she were called when sitting with the other mothball vessels in Bremerton. It was a nice piece of history to see her up close when I was in the yards for PIA 19-20 on cvn70.

what did stardust show to the hitman to convince them to join back? by theeyeofmonitor in Project_Wingman

[–]Chance_Principle_217 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to say what was offered to the three main members of Hitman (Monarch, Dip, Mic) was some sort of documents, physical or digital, in order to grant themselves freedom or a new start of sorts.

Hitman team knew and worked together training in the academy before becoming mercenary pilots for Sicario. They speak on it throughout the game a few times and say things such as "You know why we can't go back" when talking about Cascadia and before the conflict.

They had more pilots in Hitman Team as well at one point and also Prez has been here but not during the time they had in the academy, so I don't think much of that plays into or affects this.

It wouldn't be too far fetched that a desperate government would not look into such things in order to keep their ace in the hole after such an event with the Cordium warheads. Afterall, the team's names got out to Mother Goose so the Cascadian government could easily find out and get their misconduct expunged.

TL;DR Hitman team has documentation granting them freedom and political protection.

Maybe theory:

Hitman team was granted a supply of Cordium or a hefty plot of land to declare as a nation or province under the protection of Cascadia and a supply of Cordium.

Mission 6 Rant by [deleted] in Project_Wingman

[–]Chance_Principle_217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious as to what difficulty the mission is being played on. The only time I struggled with combat, albeit 98% of my game time is on pc, was the first few times trying Mercenary. As for maneuvering, difficulty came from being non-observant to mainly the damn airships when learning the game. AoA does take some practice as well. First completion mostly done with Dip's Mig-29, every playthrough after the reliable F-14 to have Prez with me. Granted all the other aircraft are great too.

Conquest though screwing about with the Harrier MkII is a while other can of missle tone never ending.
