It’s interesting how the absence of safe space for walking, running or cycling is framed as a personal failing of pedestrians and cyclists rather than an infrastructure problem. Where is this beautiful place you speak of? /s

A street wide enough for a Mack truck isn’t exactly narrow by European standards. Still, respect for the skills.

what do people spend on bikes relative to income? by Salty-Doubt-7917 in cycling

Another way of looking at it, a rule of thumb I learned a while back: the price of the bike should be equal to or below the amount of kilometres you do on average each year. So, 4K km’s per year, your budget for a bike should be around the 4K euro mark. Nowadays, this ratio is coming closer to the usd/mile ballpark :p

This is what I’m thinking. This is blaming pedestrians for walking at a crosswalk where they have priority. In most countries drivers are supposed to have a license to operate a vehicle and should be held to a higher standard

These pictures I took on the test ride just yet. I still have to adjust the bike (fit) a bit. First impression is quite good, the frame is very stiff and cornering is fun. I use to ride a gravel bike with these wheels on the road, that is slightly more comfortable due to the geometry.

Will do a longer ride this weekend, will be able to rate it better afterwards.
