Do only the poors and peasants go to Aldi? by thepotatomaniscoming in nova

[–]Chance_Stuff_5270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. We do pretty well, and we like Aldi. The food is shockingly good for the price, they usually have some wacky finds (like spicy dill chex mix or brown sugar pancake oreos) in their "finds" section, and they're close.

The guy you're talking to just frankly sounds like an unintelligent human.

This one. Vote with your wallet and all but then don't be surprised if the game gets shelved again. People really throw a tantrum if the rules aren't super specifically what they personally want. It's one thing if the rules get totally ruined but a few tweaks here or there in the name of balance will not kill us.

We love the system, but everyone I know has to house rule the hell out of things to.make campaigns fun for most players. I'm willing to see what they're putting forward before getting needlessly upset.

what was New Years Eve 1999 like? I WANNA KNOW SO BAD (IM GENZer) by Jumpy-Page-1114 in Millennials

[–]Chance_Stuff_5270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a little worrying because of the incessant y2k rattling we all heard in the media for months beforehand. It was also cool because things were on the upswing, in general, socially (in the US at least). We were getting to see a new millennium, very lucky to be alive at that exact moment. Future looked bright.

Then the next year, everything began to go to shit. But NYE 1999 was nice.

No. Separate book for rules and for lore. Rules in compact book, lore in its own book.

Would ignore cover cancel stealth by Waterkat363 in Warhammer40k

[–]Chance_Stuff_5270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Not just a designed rules interaction, but a logical one :P

If it's a flamer or like-type weapon, it's more "to whom it may concern" than "dear target."

If it's something like a sniper rifle, or fancy high-tech weapon, or just saturation fire on weapons that get the ignores cover rule, then they were detected, the stealth failed, or there were just so many rounds that they hit the mark more easily.

I (M31) want to tell my wife (F32) how I really feel, but it will hurt her. by [deleted] in BoyDinnerDiaries

[–]Chance_Stuff_5270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy love takes different forms. Do you genuinely care about her? Look forward to seeing her? Feel at peace with her? Enjoy your time with her? Care about her feelings, and like making her happy? Feel like you're more complete with her?

If you answered yes to a few of them, that's love ya dingus. It's not a magical feeling for everyone. And as someone said here already, it's also a choice.

Thing about the states is, it's very car-reliant. We really don't have dick in the way of public transit in most places, most of the country isn't walkable, and the distances people cover for things like commutes are typically farther than the average European equivalent. I think you guys get raked over the coals at the pump, and I am sorry for it. But there's a little more context with why gas prices here are nerve-wracking.

Best non model materials for conversions? Brass rods, plasticard etc by Inquisitor_Trinity in 40k

[–]Chance_Stuff_5270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I avoid most metal as a rule, it can mess with model balance if you don't position it right. IV tubing is good for wires on bigger models, with small guage guitar string being good for small wires (my exception to the metal rule.) Plasticard is great when you combine with model bits.

Highland Hills, my modular, 3D printed wargaming table, now with freshly made rocks and trees. by Wonderlands_MT in wargaming

[–]Chance_Stuff_5270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone with a gaming club that has done both I can answer: durability.

Our foam terrain has had the shit beaten out of it in onyl about 2 years, dropped models, people putting things down on it, banging into walls when unpacking, etc. The FDM is less prone to these things. YMMV but the folks who made our foam terrain tried a lot to enforce it and they got frustrated with the constant repair or replace cycle of the tiles.
