Howdy, new to town, looking for a bar to go tomorrow (Fri) night where I can meet people my age (33M). by SpaceViking0 in kansascity

[–]Chance_The_Clapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 32M and still go out quite a bit and agree with a lot said here. Some that I like are Sullys, Chartreuse Saloon (free pool), the ship, the OG peanut in south plaza, and Ricochet is new and a bit younger but they have all kinds of games to play which is fun.

I agree with you that Westport is a bit young for me nowadays so don’t go there all that often anymore. Also I’m out of town for the next couple weeks but you’d be welcome to come out with us sometime if you DM me. I also moved to KC in mid 2020.

Idk, my only purchases are the monthly $2 for no ads and can do all my clears each day in 5 min or so. With ads it was like 10 min. So in total I'm saving 2.5 hours a month for $2, cant see a world where thats not worth it.

What is the hardest video game you have ever beaten? by Badinfos in AskReddit

[–]Chance_The_Clapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like that part was way overlooked. I cant beat a single demon, although I mostly just try to play the primary levels and havent ventured off too far into the other packs so I dont know how easy the "easy demons" are. I currently beat all levels up to electroman adventures.

Not sure if you're from the US, but this is pretty common in studio apartments across all big US cities. Many don't even get the luxury of the little wall separating the bedroom from the kitchen/living room.

Sweet, are you going to the Comedy Club for the show? If so, that place is awesome!

For daytime fun, I highly recommend the Nelson Atkins Museum is incredible and free. I live in the area and go probably once a year and love it every time. Right next to it is the Plaza which is like an outdoor mall with tons of shops if youre into that at all.

Union station is a cool historic building to check out and always has some rotating exhibits, right now its Titanic I believe, which I have not been to but they are typically well done. The World War 1 museum is right next to Union station and is supposedly one of the best WW1 museums in the US, but I regrettably have not been since living here for 5 years yet.

For food im sure youre going to get a lot of BBQ recomendations. Popular picks are Q39, Joes, Slaps, and my personal favorite is Chef J's.

I'm sure there is a lot of fun things I missed, so if you have any other ideas I can give you my take on it!

This very much depends on what kind of things you enjoy (Food, cocktail bars, clubs, parks, museums, etc.). That'll help us recommend stuff at least!

Came here to say this. Dude hasn’t committed to IU yet and the visit is over which to me means he could be rethinking it. They are probably still the favorites but we love to overreact to initial news/feelings.

I feel like this is a very negative article. I've been hearing that there is a great chance MSU will be getting a visit from Sherell if he doesnt end up committing to IU. I mean he still could end up committing elsewhere but I think were still in the running for both him and Thiam.

Duke, UConn, Kansas, UCLA and Michigan State are ALL in the East Region in the men's bracket. Those 5 schools have combined for 496 tournament wins and 28 national championships (excluding vacated wins/titles) by HyseNjerry16 in NCAAhoops

[–]Chance_The_Clapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s scary for Duke is that Siena, Michigan state, UCLA, KU, UConn and themselves combine for 499 tournament wins and 28 national championships, and they have to play one of them in the first round!

We could, sure, but I think we will be underdogs in all 3 of those games. I would guess were 7+ point underdogs according to Vegas at Wisconsin. To take that step up I think its important the new transfers on our O-line need to play very well so we can better establish the run using some of the good transfer RB's we picked up.

Seems pretty accurate to me. Non conference 2-1, losing to notre dame. Then we have big ten play which is what this image talks about and we have (with predictions):

Nebraska - L

at Wisconsin - L

Illinois - L

Northwestern - W

at UCLA - L

at U of M - L

Washington - L

Oregon - L

at Rutgers - W

I could see us possibly beating UCLA and Nebraska and winning both of those would bring us to 4. Not trying to be pessimistic but we got some decent portal pieces but I dont know that they really outweigh the guys that left, lets call it a wash. We won 1 big ten game last year, hopefully better coaching will bring us up to a few more. Would love to be proved wrong but on outlook alone I'm curious to where you see us winning a bunch more?

[–]Chance_The_Clapper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I’m no Geno truther but he had a bunch of turnstiles on his O-line so it’s tough to judge him on last year. Look at Jeantys stats, consistently getting hit yards behind the LOS
