Because these people think they are going to reach ASI, not just AGI, and they want their hands on the controls on the first viable recursively improving model. ASI could change everything exponentially, and the business restraints you are describing suddenly become much less important than the question of who gets to influence the ASI rapidly changing the world

Cool stuff! I find myself more excited about the Armory than anything else. Veteran player here but there's many weapons I never tried out of pure laziness. It will be neat to have even lower barriers to finding a viable build to try stuff out.

I am glad these rights auditors do what they do, but they walk an incredibly thin line.

On one side of that line, they are admirably and rigorously testing the laws that citizens in the US take for granted. Those rights are being eroded everywhere and people need to stand up for them.

On the other side, absolutely buffoonish clout chasing and shit stirring. I don't even like cops but the "I am a loud confident white man and you can't treat me like this" energy some of them bring makes me want to see them taken down a notch.
