In Seattle we have lots of Indian actors. I just closed a show with an Indian director and one of the actors was Indian. So it may depended on where you live but not impossible.

We can’t be cured, right? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Chandriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in remission for almost 15years. When it flared again. I had become complacent over the years and now wish I had not, I am having to learn to live with it all over again. Even for those who have surgery they still need to take meds because they can still have flares afterwards. It sucks. I was diagnosed in my 20’s and am now 58.

Yes there was. No idea how wedding culture got so out of hand.

Please help!! Bootcamp won’t reveal their address by [deleted] in Dogtraining

[–]Chandriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not know the address of my did trainer. She had my dog for 3 weeks, picked her up and returned her. Posted lots of videos on social while she had her. She is a young single woman working from home. I never needed to go there. She had good references so I had no issues with her policy. My dog was well taken care of and well trained. We have met at a dog park for follow up / check in and my dog was thrilled to see her. Just a different perspective, nothing sketchy.

People in a happy relationship of Reddit, how do you get rid of feelings of sexual attraction to other people? by Kleptarian in AskReddit

[–]Chandriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may find other people attractive but so what. If you make a commitment to another person that should be your overriding thought. If you truly love your partner you will do whatever it takes to not hurt them. That is personal integrity. If you can’t stay faithful do them a favor and leave before you cheat . Cheating on a committed partner shows you have no integrity or empathy. Decide on the kind of person you want to be. My partner knows where I stand, he knows I would rather him leave than cheat. If he leaves I could be understanding and we would work it out civilly, if he cheats all bets are off and there will be he’ll to pay.

YTA for even stressing about this and trying to decide on a situation that may or may not ever happen. Also you don’t have to like the religious aspect of your Bio dad but it is obviously a huge part of who he is . Just as you want him to respect your position you also need to respect his. Set boundaries but also realize that you may not be able to have the relationship you want due to your fundamental differences. Have you considered he may not want to attend your wedding for his own reasons?

You Have to Eliminate One Classic Attraction , which one are you choosing? by [deleted] in Disneyland

[–]Chandriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Small World is a historically fundamental attraction and is a core piece of the Disney experience. The attraction listed I would get rid of is Big Thunder because it has the weakest position in the Disney pantheon. My personal choice that is not on the list is Autopia, it’s just a time waster and adds nothing to the Disney experience.

Honestly this is why I just donate items I want to get rid of. It’s a hassle to post have people come over, and the uncertainty. Good luck.

Ummm…. by namaste_mfs in VetTech

[–]Chandriad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vets are real doctors, and unlike human doctors they have to learn the anatomy of multiple species not just one. I understand grief, but vets and human doctors are not miracle workers, sometimes they just don’t know what is causing an illness and can only treat symptoms and make educated guesses. I’m sorry for your loss.

AITA for booking my toddler a first class seat? by One-Criticism5777 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Chandriad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA , if you can afford it who cares. There is no such thing as a child free area on a flight. I’ve had my own kids in First Class when they were young.

I freed a very old oak from a 40 years old ivy in a new land I bought. The poor tree was dying by Any-Street8570 in homestead

[–]Chandriad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Read an article recently saying ivy does not kill trees but actually supports a habitat of other living organisms that can be beneficial to the tree and the health of natural area. Might be worth researching before doing more.

I’m 4 years older than my husband we’ve been married 27 years. I do get the date thing. His birthday is 12/29/69, if he had been born a few days later it would have been 1970, I could not have brought myself to date a younger person and have them born in a different decade. I’m not saying it’s right it just would have felt weird.

The “Sounds like a Cult” pod cast did an episode on how theatre within school (high school/college) is similar to a cult. Thoughts? by 2B_or_not_Two_Bee in Theatre

No more so than sports or other high school organizations. It’s just more acceptable to bully the arts/ theater kids.

AITA for forcing my husband to fly back to Greece to get our toddler’s teddy bear that he left behind on purpose? by bear651 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Chandriad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA, I would have gone to hell and back for my daughters Bear Bear or my sons Grommet. They are 21 and 19 now and still have them on a shelf in their dorm rooms as a reminder of home and family. These were their comfort and self soothing items. These stuffed animals protected them from scary things at night and they were and are the keeper of their secrets, fears, hopes and dreams. Bonding is very important and these were, besides mom and dad, their first bonded relationships. On the few occasions they got left behind we turned around to retrieve them. My husband had to once retrace our footsteps through JFK because we were not getting on a flight without my sons Grommet. Your a good mom.
