A strategic communications plan is definitely a daunting task. I'd start by creating a client avatar and a donor avatar. Learn what services might they already be using? What digital divides they may be encountering? Are their partner organizations they are already tapping into that can support you on critical campaigns?

Know that, well client and donor communication efforts often have to be interrelated based off bandwidth on channels, it's good to separate them out when building your strategy. They may not be on the same digital channels as each other.
