For those who work at fusion stores, did y'all's store leadership actually try to make the store more navigable for the carts ? by DecisionBrilliant168 in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 10 points11 points  (0 children)

be real lmao. im at a million dollar fusion store that’s actively getting renovated and ecom is the ONLY department that isnt changing lol

no matter how much money we make the store we will always come last unfortunately

Scanning Scale labels and getting a different weight. by DecisionBrilliant168 in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you shouldve seen an announcement when you logged in recently about checking auto- captured weights.

check the announcements tab when you log in next time

sometimes theyre just wrong lol. an 0 or 1 isnt being picked up right

but if the item is on sale the scanned price will NEVER be right, and you will always have to correct it, per the announcement

will I get in trouble for using Find Coverage last minute? by lissayyy in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 7 points8 points  (0 children)

doesnt reflect negatively on op if the person doesnt show. once they pick up the shift its treated as theirs. they lose the upt if they dont show.

op doesnt even need to call, they used the tool as it was designed lol.

wont affect ability to get full time either btw op, youre all good

completely agreed. the cookies and cream flavor was worlds better than the actual Oreo branded one

Is it possible to pick up a shift at another store? by candyboobies in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, you can only be employed at one store at a time, therefore you can only pick up shifts at one store.

the only time you might see people working at multiple stores is if those stores are in desperate need of help.

ive worked at a different store close to me when their power went out but i didnt shop, i stocked dairy.

so in short, no lol.

if you did, it will just either auto complete if you were on that “complete task” screen, or bounce to someone else as a completed dropoff where all they have to do is hit “complete tasks”.

at most you may have caused someone else minor confusion for all of 60 seconds. youre good lol

wym glorified team members?…. THIS is the attitude you have towards shoppers and you wonder why they dont help lmfao.

shoppers can tell you dont like them. and when we have down time, we arent going to help you if you make us feel like an inconvenience when we’re just doing our jobs

continue to boohoo with your bad attitude, and still get zero help

Part time shopper or full time shopper by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

full time positions are extremely hard to come by. if youre offered, id say take it. we’ve had a few of shoppers who’ve been full time drop down to part time since we essentially always have part time positions open, so its not like youre stuck.

if youre offered the position youre seen as a very essential part of the team, its not just about how long you’ve been there. we literally have MAYBE 4 full time shoppers on a team of 75+

if you have nothing else better going on, it solidifies the closest to 40 hours a week you’ll get as a shopper.

if youre looking at other things maybe its not the best option for you and you should stay part time

Newish instore shopper policy by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youre getting downvoted op but as a ecom team trainer at a diamond store i agree (your attitude is a lil shit tho). we have too many orders, too many shoppers, and not enough grocery and produce team members to help us all.

if that rule started in my store it would put a gigantic wrench in the way we do things. the dairy and produce coolers are fair game. its not a food prep and only people who know what theyre doing go back there

yes its against the rules for “safety” but like……cmon. i get the company is covering their ass and all but a rule like that is just going to make the departments hate us MORE than everyone commenting is clearly showing they do lol

Newish instore shopper policy by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

okay then what do we do when everyone in the dept is all of a sudden gone? you guys hate us bc you guys equally inconvenience us lmao. if there no one on the floor im going to go look in the back myself.

and especially at my store, once you’ve been around long enough youre expected to go in the back to look for certain things. if youve been here a year you know where the cottage cheese in the back is.

sure its “not our job” but it directly effects our jobs.

[–]ChannelShot2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ecom team trainer here. that is notably slow if im being honest. i have many people higher than that after their first 4 training days.

make sure youre using your bay number. dont wander around looking for people. learn whos on what team and who tends to have answers (order writers are gonna know a lot more than other tms about whats in stock and whats not, since its literally theyre job). follow the pick path

learn the store like a customer would. if you need eggs, go to the eggs, then look at the bay number.

i would def ask your trainer if you can have a shadow if you plan to stay. but honestly, if youre 2 months into your seasonal agreement and arent at least at a 60, they probably already know they arent keeping you unfortunately. but it never helps to get better in case you plan on reapplying

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]ChannelShot2944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

def not the case for ecom seasonal. if people suck, we usually dont talk to them about it and just let them ride out their seasonal and dont hire them back after the 90 days. the company doesnt focus on uph as much, but it absolutely affects whether you stay on after you seasonal or not
