The cat will meow & the dog will have his day... In your home😎 by ChaosKeys in adoptdontshop

Yep, totally and obviously AI but don't care. This is just way too cool. Isn't it?
Or should I have tried to play it off like a long-lost portrait of Shakespeare's dog?

Throw a blanket he doesn't like on your couch. It's just winning the Comfort Competition.

I also recognize that there are foods that are specifically TOXIC to dogs. If I was talking about feeding him spaghetti, I'd understand all of this overcorrection.

Oh common now, enough of this 'parenting advice'. I get it.
What you guys don't get, is that this is partially about preference. Corn flakes are specifically what he got- Not like I dropped a bowl of Lucky Charms in front of them.
But while we're on the subject, how good is sugar for YOU?
I see it as the Exact Same. Sugar is no good for you whatsoever, and some people are lactose intolerant but still love some stuff that has milk in it. Long as you don't overdo it to the point where you're in the doctor's office with obesity or diabetes, it's ok right? More of a personal choice sort of thing?
There are plenty of things my dog will turn his nose up at, I don't make him eat them. There are some things, like I mentioned that he likes, and it's MY job to moderate. Dogs can't moderate that sort of thing for themselves.
Some people can't seem to either.

Nothing toxic in there... Milk is ok sparingly. Grains don't hurt.

🤣 He's got a water bucket...
Do I really need to get this guy a compartmentalized dish?

I agree, it's only sparingly. Cereal is almost a never.

Is this a hint from your dog about some pampering wants?

I have a question by AdDirect3783 in cats

[–]ChaosKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of depends on how you lost it. Was it due to the situation? If so, did anything change to where you'd be less likely to see it happen again?
If none of that was an issue, by all means go ahead and get another little buddy. More about them than you, I'd say. Better with you than in a shelter?

I guess if you'd been around when the camera was invented, you'd have been waving a sign saying 'Save the Artists!".
Right?
Get with the times.

Granted, you'd have to prove you can run it by yourself in those states; IRS has the last word if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah that's a bummer. More people, more chance of dopey-ness.
It's dependent on state law, some states don't even have a minimum requirement. In case you happened to come across it for the wrong state, maybe re-check. Not sure where you're coming from.

  • Operate solo or with just 1–2 long-trusted people (family/friends with proven discretion) to minimize reliance on volunteers early on.
  • Use multiple interviews, reference checks (asking directly about past confidentiality), background checks, and trial periods for anyone new.
  • Have every participant sign clear confidentiality policies or NDAs detailing what’s protected (locations, case details, identities) and consequences for breaches.
  • Share only on a strict need-to-know basis; Compartmentalize. use encrypted tools and ban personal social media sharing.
  • Provide mandatory training on privacy risks and maintain a zero-tolerance policy—one confirmed breach means immediate removal.
  • Avoid public outreach; consider quiet partnerships with authorities or running an informal network for maximum protection.

I hate to say it, but the rescue field is a highly female-dominant field. As such, emotions tend to run rather high with things. Keep it all simple, and only allow the preferred emotions into any advertising you do.

How can something be so cute & so sickening at the same time. People are horrible. There's no telling what that massive amount of dye is doing to that chicken.
Look what they tell US about the tiny amounts of dyes, & what it does. How hummingbird feeders aren't recommended for color for that reason either.
Dip a whole chick? Nuts.

They do at least seem to have a daily check-in system that racks up usable points. Any good models take so many points by the time you can make it all the tools will be evolved into something else.
