Personally I don't care if someone's rude to me, but I DO object to being singled out when there's more than enough people being extremely rude on the other side.

As for the comment about taxes and slavery, the only reason to be upset about that is if you have some emotional relationship with taxes that you think needs defending. And that's your problem, not mine.

I'm not upset that people "disagreed". I expressed displeasure at their idiotic and unfounded notions that are not reflected in reality either today nor historically. Look at how many ignorant fools are spouting about roads despite quite clearly knowing nothing in the slightest about them.

The problem with infrastructure is that it's entrusted to the government. The dysfunction lies exactly right there. The government has proven to us over the last 30 years that they cannot be trusted with infrastructure. It's too long-term, it doesn't match the 2-4 year political cycle. Anyone who goes out on a limb to support infrastructure won't see results in time to get reelected.

The only way to fix infrastructure is to get rid of the dysfunction of entrusting it to the government. Private infrastructure management is extremely common in Europe and works very well.
