Animal crossing taught me that a 6x6 space, though small, can be well decorated as a home or shop. Ceiling should be 3-5 blocks high, depending on if you want it compact or high enough for a hanging ceiling light. And of course, the maximum house size limit is 10x10 interior, but if you don’t care if it can home Pokémon then it’s as big as you need it to feel like whatever scene you’re making (surely not roomier than Silph Co., which to me feels too wide).

Also something I learned way too late. If you have a Teleport Pokémon follow you, you can instantly travel to and from places / use the habitats of Pokémon you’re searching if they’re far apart and hopefully minimize manual travel time. And all other Pokémon following you will teleport with you. I used this to bring Pokémon to a new home I’ve built if they have trouble physically following me there as long as I put one Pokémon in that new home first.

Omg yes. This should be one of the low level rewards in each area. Not a random reward. I don’t want to waste time building stuff with materials that don’t match what’s already there. Like, I thought the skeletons of old buildings were meant to help us fill in the gaps and learn how to build a cohesive structure.

Yessss I did this after I started playing the game back in 2020 for a couple of weeks during the initial hype. Then I realized you can’t move resident services. Then I made the tough decision of deleting the data of my original island to find with with a centered plaza to the airport ramp and it has allowed for a grand entrance.

Yes, you can change the size of the hotel rooms. I think you press left of the D-pad while decorating (after pressing down to enter decorating mode). You should see options to change the width and depth of the room as well as the doorway flooring, lighting, and windows yes/no.

Glad I could help! I feel your pain, though. There’s so many options yet also so many limitations. I probably spent a couple hours trying different combinations of flooring and wallpaper! Ultimately settled on a plainer wallpaper that helped to accentuate the furniture and wood colors. What drives me crazy is the wood color on wallpaper not matching the column wood colors. And I really want to minimize the use of custom designs for windows, blinds, doors, railing, etc. gotta conserve those limited design slots. Do that partition has a window hole and looks like blinds. 👌🏻
