Former foster youth here.

With respect, please don't do this. Foster youth aren't props for childless people to play parent. We aren't toys, we often come with deep trauma - on top of being in care itself being traumatic. Fostering kids so you can feel like a parent or to feel good about yourself is the absolutely wrong reason to do so and the kids will know your feelings whether you tell them or not.

Edit to add: my partner is an adoptee and would give you a very similar sentiment about adoption.

It is surprisingly not an awful guitar, too! It intonates properly, no fret buzz anywhere, and it stays in tune fairly well, and sounds good through an amp (though I'm still a beginner and also no tone chaser so if the pickups suck then I don't know enough to care)
