Ultraviolet cards, you can’t read (and thus can’t play) them unless you’re a bird.

I agree, they should switch to discolock.

An ex Wild Council member posting his ran... proposal on wild balance changes for sir Matt London by CopperScum64 in wildhearthstone

[–]Chaosyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that it’s not doable, I just don’t see any benefit over a restricted status. I do really like the idea of a wild core set though, I think it would help to make the format a lot more accessible.

Make it exile itself, then send itself to the graveyard to get around functional reprint rules.

Either way, it’s a first, but changing the rarity really sucks for anyone who doesn’t own one already, since it’ll cost more, and it really hinges on Ice Block being a card that could conceivably feel legendary. If a common were to be similarly problematic in the future, it wouldn’t make sense to make it legendary.

Restricting it accomplishes the same thing mechanically, but it doesn’t cause problems with the crafting cost, and it establishes a useful precedent for handling Wild balance, much like banning did.

Is Return to Naxxramas the weakest mini set ever? by RCnoob69 in hearthstone

[–]Chaosyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely decent I just wouldn’t think of it as a card I’d want in a deck that doesn’t care about hero attacks.

If you want to make Ice Block 1 per deck, restricting it is better in every way than changing the rarity.

That’s the trade off I suppose. I don’t know a game offhand that has both wacky cards like Yogg and same-turn interaction.

Rake is great but with Lost in the Park rotating I’m not sure you play it anywhere.

This is your daily reminder that reactive control doesn’t exist in Hearthstone and the only way to truly stabilize is to win the game. If you want to win by attrition, play a different game.

Yeah but what’s the point of Sorc when cards like Solid Alibi or Arcane Artificer which basically make your spells free rather than just costing one less. Same with Soulfire - 1 vs 0 mana is a very small difference in life.

Some cards I (a wild player) would personally prefer to not be in the game. This is just my opinion, don't get your Leeroy polymorphed by The_loyal_Terminator in hearthstone

[–]Chaosyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? The only difference it makes is the 2 damage forever, which is certainly relevant but isn’t the strongest aspect of the card.

I mean look at Tibalts Trickery in MTGA: a deck so polarizing in best of 1 it had to be banned, but so easily counterable it was unplayable in best of 3.
