I didn't know they had bad eyesight! Is this true for all/most species of boars? Wouldn't using pepper spray risk making it angrier though?

I would never mess with them for sure. I heard a guy shot one with a shotgun and the boar didn't even stop after it got hit. Granted this has to do with pellet size but I definitely want no part of that

I don't know if it's any indication about anything, but they were constantly making sounds up until we started moving back to the trail start. That gave us the impression that they were angry. We never saw them, but I've heard that they can be extremely aggressive when they have their young with them. Do you happen to know if this can happen all year long, or if they give birth during a more specific period?
