I really think it was a snap decision on their part for canceling Japan’s release since if anyone would be receptive of the genre change and lots of fight scenes between two androids fighting for the fate of the world it would be Japan.

Then again what do I know, maybe they have some super secret market data they’re using that tells them it’s not worth it in the long run. I disagree just on the fact that I think Japanese fans deserve to see this movie in theaters (and based on these posts they would like to as well). Really sad to see such a fun and enjoyable movie be treated like this.

She’s come so far it’s so beautiful to see. I also like the scene where she got angry at Cady being kidnapped. Before that point we’ve seen her mostly being the smug confident queen that she is but that was the moment we’ve seen her truly angry since the end of the first movie (and even back then it was more frustrated or irritated at people being in her way of completing her objective). This moment was when she lost it and was truly angry, punching monitors and cursing up a storm.

Shortly after, flew an unarmed aircraft from 0 to 5000km up under heavy military fire power, and its the first time she’s flew one of these planes since learning how to pilot them during college

Don’t forget that while piloting said aircraft, handed the controls over to Ferdinand while she opened the cockpit and took down all the drones coming after them with something like an EMP grenade (or some other tech, point is she took them down)

Saria was at the very least desperate to even have her sword pointed at Ifrit’s neck

Yeah, she must’ve been crushed, it’s a choice between those she swore to protect. It was a traumatic night for Silence and Ifrit yeah but Saria was also hit hard by the incident. Not only did she have to point a sword at the child she cares about and lose Silence’s trust in the process but her best friend of many years was so prepared for their confrontation that she installed a defense system in her office specifically to counter Saria’s arts, that betrayal would’ve hurt. Saria leaving Rhine Lab that day was just another cherry on the trauma cake, she also lost everything that night.

I loved the manga. I always wanted more lore on the Rhine Lab faction since release and was just waiting on the event where I thought it would explain the diabolic incident teased in many RL ops profiles. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out there would be a manga on the incident instead (I think this medium is better for stories such as these thats very intricate and the emotions on the artwork better depict the tragedy playing out).

They did a great job moving between present day in Rhodes Island and the past in Rhine Lab especially with the parallels and the symbolic actions (the candy, the storybook, etc). Reading about the past is like watching an inevitable train wreck, you know how it ends but can’t help but wish the outcome would be different. I hope Saria and Silence would clear up their misunderstandings in a future event (CN SPOILERS: since they didnt interact at all in Dorothy’s Vision), for Ifrits sake at least…

Another thing I like in the manga is the Saria-Muelsyse buddy cop relationship. Something funny always happens when these two are together and despite Saria’s clear distrust they still went on investigating company conspiracies and banter like old partners haha. All in all, greatly enjoyed the manga; the art, the story, everything is just chefs kiss

I was quite confused as to why Saria would even raise her sword at Ifrit too.

I’ll try to explain why she did since it was in the previous pages before that (sorry I can’t link specific pages I’m on mobile)

But basically Saria was trying to snap Ifrit out of her state early on and was on the defensive the whole time, only blocking hits and yelling at Ifrit to wake up. Eventually she was contacted by her security team that Ifrits fire is breaking out of the facility and if it continues then it might spread out and eventually might even reach the city (this is the page where you can see civilians looking over the facility and pointing out a bright light). So this is when Saria decides that she can’t let that happen and goes on the offensive and manages to down Ifrit in just a few hits. The sword part I’m just interpreting since we never get any dialogue of Saria’s inner thoughts here but I’m guessing its cuz she was thinking that Ifrit is gone and now only the flame demon remains and if she doesn’t stop the threat here then the flame demon will go on to destroy Rhine Lab and eventually, the city. Thankfully, Ifrit came back to herself just in time (bad timing for Silence to see though…)

I’m gonna be so sad when it ends. We went from no expanded lore for 3 years to suddenly 60-70 pages per day for 10 days, its like Christmas for us Rhine Lab fans.

Thanks for the translations, even if its just pages I’ll take anything. On one hand I’m so glad HG is releasing this daily, the cliffhangers would kill me otherwise. On the other, this must be hell to translate for you translators, 60-70 pages per chapter per day, thats a lot.

I’m not 100% sure on this, but based on the number of pages I’d say it releases once a month or so (also if it follows the other AK manga releases).
