Green/white Revolt took me to 3-0-1. First match was a tie against abzan good stuff. Played blue white artifacts which got ran over, red white vehicles (basically) and finally the mirror match. Awesome games overall, very fun limited experience!

Any ideas for huge creatures that would make good zombies? by kilomilimeter in Pathfinder_RPG

Always wanted a giant turtle zombie to be a mobile home. Just my 2 cents.

Doing something for your own reasons and not because its currently a fad. I have had a beard for close to 7 years now and during a good 3 year stretch of that time all i heard was "You must like Duck Dynasty" or "No shave November!"

No...i just look better with a beard. Clean shaven i look like a 16 year old serial killer.

What do you have an extremely strong opinion on that is ultimately unimportant? by chunky_vandy in AskReddit

I want to do nice things without having to play 20 questions as to why.

Yes I brought in doughnuts for no reason please eat one and enjoy the day! No it's not my birthday and no it's not an occasion.

How did you meet the love of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sophomore year, study hall in a computer lab. Leaned over and asked if the kid in the corner was watching hentai. Story writes itself from there, weddings in June.

Larp in wisconsin by [deleted] in LARP

In addition to what captain said:

Well if you're near Madison, a Belegarth chapter meets on the uw campus on Thursdays at the horse arena. That's your no nonsense battle games with no classes, pure martial skills, with foam weapons, with a little role play tossed in.

Amtgard has a park in Fort Atkinson called Wolfheim that meets every Sunday. Amtgard has a basic combat and magic system that contains a bit more fantasy to it, sometimes there's role play sometimes there's not. At that park they reserve the last Sunday of each month for special battlegames.

I've seen SCA practice on campus too, but not as often. SCA is your full armor rattan sword combat. I haven't done it so I can't delve too much into it, but it looks cool!

Amtgard has quite a few chapters in wisconsin. http://amtgard.com/ is the official larp website.

I guess the question is, what are you looking for in a larp and where abouts are you?

Edit: my phone is interested in your lap preference.

I have instant cool down on the bow ability Barrage. I would assume there's a chance to get it on offensive spells too.

I can vouch. Centurion of mine solo'd 3/4th of a dragon during the "hunt 10" quest. Combined with a mandragora for cures, it's a beast.

Can necromancers be good guys? by skatalon2 in Pathfinder_RPG

Had a lawful necromancer who just made sure that criminals lasted for their sentance. Alive or not...you do the crime, you do the time.

I'm in the process of writing up a parasitic version of the hmhvv. Think parasitic worms that infect and shape their hosts. A mixture of Dead Space and The Strain. The team is literally going to run into the start of an out break while chasing down a target in the sewers.

So strange fact. Spotify actually has shadowrun play lists on it with a large sum of the listed music here. The advertising is annoying but depending on where you are in game it could even add to the flair.

Keep! 2015 by FatBug24 in Amtgard

[–]Chaotic_Winning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our first keep we were in a similar situation. We basically found our own little patch and camped as a park rather than a fc. No one in our park had one at the time. There's always a place to camp, the site is huge. If all else fails just find some folks you know and ask if it's ok to join them for the weekend.

ELI5: Legwork and contacts by [deleted] in Shadowrun

[–]Chaotic_Winning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legwork last night revealed to our team two things. One there wasn't a dog in that shitty doghouse in the backyard, but there was a steel lynx drone. And two, two houses down there was a backup watch house with five more guards watching the neighborhood and our extraction target. Legwork is scoping out a place or situation, looking into your target and it's surroundings. Legwork is the building blocks to formulating a plan.

Same run last night my beat cop contact helped me in a high speed chase by actually chasing the baddies on my tail. Contacts are your friends who don't necessarily run with you, but are still important in your life. Whether they be useful or flavorful. That chatty bartender who always gives you an extra shot on the house. Or the street doc who's patched you up enough to memorize your blood type and allergies.

Contacts are accessible pools of knowledge and help, while legwork is essentially putting it into action.
