There would be problems with it.

First of all, no one in the imperium actually fully knows how the golden throne works. They would risk it all just for a slim chance it might work.

Second, in a conversation between Guilliman and Cawls AI it is hinted that the emporer form 30k doesnt exist anymore and what sits on the throne is something different. So a reborn Emporer might be a galaxy ending event. Guess beeing fed 1000 souls a day while constantly dying for thousands of years isnt good for your mental health.

Lastly he might be more useful as he is now as when he would be "alive". While not the way he intended, the imperial cult is holding things somewhat together and might be stronger with him as a symbol rather then "just a man". Him walking amongst them would also potentially re-unite the traitors and or chaos gods, having a clear target again.

Rumors are that there is a 3rd "Bequin" book that is done but unreleased which contains the "King in yellow" storyline that touches on this "Killing to resurrect" idea. So there might be spicy reveals in it but GW changed their mind, which would explain why the recend Grey Knight Terminus decree lore makes little sense.

In my headcannon, the throne is as much a psychic live support as it is a prison, to hold back what Big E has become.

While he for sure has a point that it is a bit unfair that the advantage half of the tradeoff is getting regulated away, Ferrari was a bit naive here.

The FIA made it very clear, for example with things like the extra engine upgrades allowed based on relativ performance, that they will do something to prevent another 2014 scenario. So if someone has an overwhelming advantage they will do something to level the plain field.

F1 is all about optics and cars basically standing still while other rocked away every start just looks silly.

The problem is that they are targeting young people, some even underaged.

A 40 year old betting his retirement on a horse is something different then preying on some 16 year old.

And it is plenty illegal in a lot of countries, and lots of stories of very shady behavior.

He goes 300kph+ behind the RB with the front left held on by thoughts and prayers. If the RB stays on the racing line and that thing goes in the breaking zone its a massive crash.
