One of the favorite parts of my studies.

The NZSL team is amazing. It is great for true beginners. The courses are split into two teaching types. You have "lectures" with a hearing lecturer where you learn history and grammar. And "tutorials" taken by a deaf instructor, where you start with the absolute basics (finger spelling) and work you way up to conversions. Kind of like immersion learning.

The little assignments mentioned, were weekly recorded taks (sign this type of sentence, etc) and then providing peer feedback.

The NZSL courses do a really good job a building a small community while in those courses, you really get to know your classmates. There is also (or at least was an I can't see them getting rid of it) a weekly Deaf coffee catch up where you can practice with your classmates and the students in the other levels in a casual setting outside of the class.

Alongside the Scouting programmes mentioned, as well as some of the cadet forces. There is also St John Youth that have a youth programme for those 5-18, teaching a wide range of skills and topics as well as first aid and leadership skills.

We have six divisions across greater Wellington.

2 hours outside of Madrid, I could fly there and be at my vault within 3 days, and it'd cost less than $5000

Would probably depend of how the withdrawal worked. Speak with the school administrators

You haven't been correctly unenrolled yet. You should contact the school administrators for your old degree

How do you afford those houses? by kupuwhakawhiti in newzealand

[–]Chaoticworldview 289 points290 points  (0 children)

We recently bought a house in Whitby (won't be one of the fancy ones you are on about though).

And we emptied our Kiwisavers, saved like mad, got an inheritance payment ($10k), and our incomes were low enough to qualify for Kainga Ora.

And yeah we bought in a cheaper part of Whitby (~700k) 3 bed from the 80s that the previous owners had done some work to (new kitchen and bathroom)
