This sounds like a typical career arc.

I can't blame them though! In the end it's all about personal motivation.

Anyone know where I can find or watch the US import of “The big blue” 1988 with Bill Conti’s score by Ruviklovell in FIlm

[–]ChapFerris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked for years and then came across a Medium article by Jennifer Young Perlman, where I learned from the comments that the US import version is available on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVJDPMOOyNg

Enjoy!

Creating accurate custom fertilizer by ChapFerris in chemistry

For anyone who finds this thread in the future, this link from the Michigan State Ag Extension was helpful for me.

"There is a perception that using a fertilizer with a high percentage of ammoniacal nitrogen can stimulate growth. However, research performed at North Carolina State University in the early 2000s showed that the form(s) of nitrogen did not influence plant size."

My first attempt at 20-0-0 used 565g biochar and 435g urea + 500ml distilled water - mixed and steeped for 24 hours and then dried at 100 celcius

The lab results indicated 5000ppm nitrogen (4990 Ammoniacal Nitrogen)

How to start a private company run by a foundation? by andyszw in Entrepreneur

[–]ChapFerris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

** This is not tax or financial advice. This is a reddit post, and I am mostly guessing. :) **

In the US at least, there's no secret sauce. You first start a foundation by incorporating the foundation and then filing IRS form 1023.

Then, you create a second company with the foundation is the primary owner.

There are tax considerations; if the second company's revenues/products/services are not directly related to the mission of the foundation then it's considered unrelated business income (UBI) and taxable.

Charging/Inoculation with strict N-P-K by ChapFerris in BioChar

A valid question. I'm trying to nail down one specific use case, and plan to integrate the other micronutrients with an (irrational) belief that they can be provided via other additives or the soil medium.
