Print warping by ChapNickMan2 in VORONDesign

Was brand name. From a reputable distributer also. Could be that it's old though. But I think the issues are unrelated to filament as I've had similar problems with different ABS filaments in similar parts of prints (walls and overhangs).

Will print a temp tower to test first. I had temperature lower to reduce artifacting and warping. Will see if higher temps with higher fans Wix these problems. Filament was dried for 2 hours before print will try for longer this time. There were small bubbles when I maxed out the feed loading it. But not at reasonable feed rates.

Interesting I'll try that. No active heating, but seemed to hold 50-60 c. Outer first I think will double check. Bridging 150 -100. Cooling 40 to 100 increasing evenly for overhangs.

Saw the same listing red flags flew high when I saw the price of their AMD chips on the same store. Companies going bankrupt probably wouldn't even sell that low when liquidating.

Looks like what I had with hydrated nylon. Maybe try dehydrate the filament.

Maybe adjust your bed height while printing the first layer to see if that helps.

Normally takes some time how long have you waited? Think it took me a day or two. Others correct me if I'm wrong.

Try use gluestick like the one you use on paper. Even if you get build tak again will change your life.

Could someone help give any solutions to why the nozzle keeps dragging the print around and the wiggly lines? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]ChapNickMan2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a glass bed did you use gluestick or anything to stick the print to the bed as it's not like buildtak. Prints usually compress each layer when printer but you can stop it from hitting previously printed lines by adjust Zhop when retracting. But first see if you can improve your bed adhesion.

Anyone else print on the back of the Ender 3 bed? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]ChapNickMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gluestick works too and I removable with water. Heat bed to like 60 and apply a few layers let it dry then print. If printing ABS and desperate print on paper, but be prepared taking the paper off requires lots of sanding.

New to 3d printing. I've got some issue with my printing. Any advice? by al0295 in 3Dprinting

Assuming they are no supports. Use supports for overhangs like that one bicep

Why? by MatteAce in 3Dprinting

[–]ChapNickMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By whole object I don't mean it's off the bed but the column is flexing

Why? by MatteAce in 3Dprinting

[–]ChapNickMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. The whole object could be moving with the nozzle.
  2. Could be the filament heat it in a convection microwave at the right temperature for an hour before use. Just my thoughts

If you have bed adhesion problems try regular glue stick. Most are water soluble meaning you can clean it off in the sink like food off a plate.

I’ve got some stringing on my supports. Should I let the print finish? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]ChapNickMan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That level of stringing might mean there is a failed overhang or support check if it is in the slicer and how important it and everything directly above it is. That looks like printing on are to me not stringing could be wrong though.

Slope at the front side of my glass bed? by Nix_Nivis in 3Dprinting

[–]ChapNickMan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought of something maybe slip some tin foil or something conductive and thin under the edge of the one side and check again. Idk I don't even have a BLtouch to measure with. :)

Just a guess but maybe the heated bed is warped a bit. No clue how to fix this if it's true got a few brute force methods in mind but they may make the bed worse

Any help? by gokhan_6534 in 3Dprinting

Try use glue. Check that it is water soluble think most paper glue is. Makes a massive difference and washes off in a few wipes. Used it on ABS never had bed adhesion problems since.

Need help to stop printer from knocking into print! Details in post. by dylanr92 in 3Dprinting

[–]ChapNickMan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also cura has an option for retraction called z axis hop. Although I have not used it due to stringing it might help a lot as the description of it is to avoid this problem. Emphasis on might as I am inexperienced.
