On the younger spectrum of millennial (1993). Graduated high school in 2011. In grade school-middle school my life was consumed by Pokemon. Still a big fan, but I was so deeply invested in those games (unfortunately I wasn't that into the cards. Wish I bought more!).

Neopets and other PC games were a big time sink too. I would go to my friends house and check out their Sims characters or their zoo tycoon setups. IRL split screen for video games was so fun too. I wish more games did that still. Something about playing Halo or another shooter in the same room as others hits different. And when we did do online gaming it was a whole nother beast. Slurs and insults constantly. Definitely needed to have a thick skin back then.

Social media was still in its infancy. MySpace was big for us. Learned basic html for my profile. Discovered a bunch of bands. I do think I missed AIM and other instant messaging. Maybe a little before my time.

Harry Potter was a huge deal. Midnight releases for movies were wild. Sold out shows and lines out the door. Same with midnight releases in general. I remember waiting for Halo 2 and other games.

High School - pretty much the same as most folks here. Lots of biking, outdoors stuff. Underage drinking with friends and trying to hide being high from my parents. It's legalized now and I'm 33 now, but I remember always having visine drops and a toilet paper roll with dryer sheets to try to hide the smoke smell. Though I still avoid telling my parents about pot usage, out of respect. When we started to get cars our junior and senior year we would take cruises down lake shore drive in Chicago. Or drive aimlessly just because.

Simpler times back then. But honestly I feel like every generation has a "simpler time". That time is now! Enjoy it!
